Suggestion Box: rough the jar up with sandpaper and/or paint a glue-sand mix over it, before adding the styrene layers... just lots of hot-glue drippings all over the outside of the jar would help too... bits of spackle or other filler (like the expanding foam) could help but should be applied sparingly... having one or two made with jutiing or tiered levels with less than two inch surfaces for some slightly usable tactical advantage would be interesting... again sparingly.
