Then the record went top 5 and she was 'ok' with it:) except in early live shows I guess:)

You shouldn't speak in absolutes like that, they limit you. As for Ronstadt, flashes in the pan don't last any number of years. They don't last at all, that's the point of the expression. She lasted pretty damn long, and deservedly so.

She's one of the all time greats, not just from one generation as she transcends all generations.Her music and spirit will go on long after my generation (which was her's as well) has gone. She can sing like an angel and become as funky and soulful as they come. From folk to rock to opera back to country, this woman can sing it all. She has class and truly cares. I'm shocked that she isn't yet in the Hall of Fame.
