My teacher says we should develop more compassion for the perpetrators of evil acts than thier victims, because ultimately they will suffer more. So I have great compassion for the Dalai Lama, may he recieve Manjushri's blessings immediately, and heal the harm he has caused.

If he refuses to follow wisdom, then I hope he will at least scrap the identity cards.

It's such a shame especially those Tibetan for merely blackening H.H. The Dalai Lama. H.H. has been living his whole life for others. To my kowledge, he never ban these practitioner. Instead; and always, he emphasis that one has his own right to practise whathever he wants. But if, they want to practise shugden then they should not come for his teaching. Which I beleive H.H. has every right to say that. One can't have all, isn't? So, what is their problem.

It really is sad that I first know about this issue only on Al Jazeera. Not a single major western news source has any history (I searched back over a year) on this issue whatsoever. But when the Dalai lama gets a cold, that will have 1000's of articles on it. Shame on our media for not even allowing an opposition side.

So... why are we not hearing about this other perspective on CNN? Normally its the DL who is the persecuted one. Why just the one side?

one is the american have no interest in hearing this for they believe in Dalai to be righteous. Another is Western govts are using Dalai in a way to ruin China, so CNN could under its govt pressure even in a democratic country. (just the same for US govt definitely want to ban any videos about neg views on US armies in Iraq)

I feel sad to see all these angry people. They've lost their country and I can understand their frustration. The Dalai Lama is the root of all this divisiveness - if he hadn't branded Shugden practitioners as his enemy, there wouldn't be this anger and intolerance. What kind of religious leader stirs up hatred? It's absolutely shameful!

This resumes clearly to me what DL whorshippers are doing all around the world. I'm just an ordinary person but when I realize what's the true meaning of The Law Of Karma, I assume DL is not Buddhist, he and his followers are creating suffering causes for their futures by doing so.

How is possible that DL being supposely a Bodhisatva reincarnation can act like that?

I hope he recieves Buddha's blessings and stops this to avoid more suffering for all of them including him in the future.

The video is an accurate account of the shugden and some of the responses to them but

not of the distance between the groups or who else was in the crowd. Part of it was filmed from right up to the corner were the DL were. making them seem closer to the shugden.

It was rush hour and the crowd includes Cops, horse cops, private security, DL supporters, and NYer's getting off of work and bottle necked

the shugdens were peaceful. I came to see the Dalai lama. it was my first time and was surprised at the protest. DL buddist were waving dollars and it was explained to me that Shugdens take money from the chinese government.

one corner were Shugdens the other three were Cops, private security, and Dalai Lama's buddist and Nyers (bottle necked).

Strange how western dalai lama supporters are sooooo quiet about all this isn't it?

Maybe they are starting to think for themselves a little bit instead of just nodding in agreement to everything they are fed by tibetans?

This is a small sample of what people endure in India, Nepal etc. angry mobs resorting to any form of violence (verbal/physical) had the police not been there. Dirty stares, glares, identifying, spitting, obscene gestures are a norm for innocent believers in India and Nepal etc. This schism and division among a once united group of people comes to light in the west and is exposed. Moreover, this is immediately after Buddha's Four Nobel Truths Teachings.

So sad to see such angry reactions from the followers of the DL. It's scary to think what it must be like for Dorje Shugden practitioners in India.

I have heard it claimed that Dorje Shugden followers engage in sectarian violence, i think this reaction by DL supporters shows it's these poor followers of the DL who engage in violent actions.
