'06 636... I've had mine up to 183, which is probably real speed around 172 or so. Scorpion exhaust is the only mechanical mod done. Everything else is bone stock. You wouldn't think those extra 37 cc's would matter, but on the top end is where I leave most 600's. And I've put her up against every brand and almost every year of stock 600's from 03 and up. I admit, getting to 180 from 165 is not the fastest, but i hit 140 in 4th gear easy and she pulls strong til around 165...

I had a '94 zx-6 and had her at the same speed. I noticed the air getting under it too much and it started lifting the suspension up in front. Needless to say I backed off, but she still had about 1200 rpm left. Fast 600. I could beat my buddies GSXR 750 off the start and top end, but he had better midrange. Smoked him in the corners too. This was a while ago. Very fun bikes, but I got too daring on mine...we'll just leave it at that. Be careful.

if you've ridden a motorcycle you'd know that they take no time at all to get to their top speed. christ, i've got "just" a 400 and it gets there pretty quickly.
180 + on a 600. dont make me laugh. if you've managed to get a full-on world supersport spec racer on the road, yes, but you would literally have to spend thousands on performance upgrades to get your standard road legal 636 to 180mph. 160 is about right for any standard 600.
Also i can give you about 10 credible sources that show the correct top speeds with pro riders if you would like. They also talk about the speedo error. Thanks for the super sweet comment!
Number two as was said before the speedo is off by quite a bit, 10-15% in some cases..which if your reading skills are as good as your math skills you probably need some help..so it puts the bike at around 158-168 mph. Thanks for the ignorant comment though! Have a nice day! Ride Safe!

I topped my 05 out at 178 its says. Once your towards the top the only shit that will matter is if you got wind at your back and if your comin down or up a hill. All bikes now are governed at 186 so no matter what the bike says it wnt go faster than that. Nice pass though by the way i wish i would have gotten mine on tape.

181 is crazy fast. did you clock it or use the spedomiter? These bikes are def fast but the speedomiters are more off the faster you go. I had a buddy radar me. Only reason I ask is, I hav a friend w/ an o6 zx10 and it dynoe'd out at 186.
