  • Tesla turbine is really value worthy. But I think we should think about magnetic generator also.

If you want to get Free Energy System to power your Home:

    - Here is my advice for you:

-- There is a review of the current Magnetic Generators in the market

--- Go to Google and search for Top Magnet Generator

---- and.. Click the first results

  • What is the input/output radiation. Ohm law calulations? ???

  • Impressive can you implemnt that to viable commercial usage?

  • sounds like a jet engine!

  • Nice work and testing,

  • why does this guy sound like Jack Nicholson?

  • My life is full of maze's!! mainly Egg Mayonaise...

  • cool!!

  • how did you make the discs? material? method?

  • the tesla turbine is more efficient than the bladed turbine due to surface area.35 percent is dam good efficiency if u ask me.

  • Whered you get the motors and the stainless steel that you machined? Ive been looking around and found only one affordable place that sells bulk...

  • where did you get the motor from, i'm looking for a nice ac motor to couple to a small dc motor to make a DC TO AC motor inverter for a project bench

  • well yes but its any ways cheaper and faster in production, and we can all speak alot about this but this freaking remaining character count is only 500 ups now its 331.

  • I don't think it will cost any less to build the Tesla type turbine. Sure, the investments are easier to make but I'd have to make 8 instead of one and then the assembly time would eat up any savings.

  • now, I hope you're being funny. The turbine typically calls for only a handful of different parts to build the rotor, compared to dozens of different parts on a conventional turbine, including no need for stators. Just the simplicity reduces production costs. Additionally, a conventional turbine would require special milling for blades to have the proper aerodynamics, while the discs can be cut from a sheet and turned on a lathe. Final balancing is also good lathe work.

  • Unfortunately Tesla's have lousy efficiency despite what the acolytes claim and sticking freaking great holes in the root of the disk means if you pass anything at a high temperature over them, potato chip or bang is the result. Nice toy's good as mud pumps but past that a solution in search of a problem.

  • I think it would depend on the scale of the assembly. For something along the lines of a turbocharger, building a boundary layer turbine instead of a more conventional bladed turbine would be a waste of money. Not only would you need extremely high precision to make an efficient tesla turbine at that scale, but the bladed rotor is one casting. If you change scale, say to the powerplant of a locomotive, the bladed turbine uses thousands of various blades while turbine efficiency becomes similar.

  • Well if you build the enire thing out of stainless steel or aircraft grade aluminum, and then space the disks close together, your probably going to be able to get a high efficiency with say 1000 degree farenheit steam, as compared to a bladed turbine. The idea is to be able to produce the same or more efficiency as a bladed turbine, but be able to make it fit in less space.

  • whats the ratings on it ?

what max speed did it reach, and did heat up, beacuse im wondering is it possible to replace a car turbo with that turbine?????

  • This early turbine produced ~250 watts at ~47,000 rpm. As an expansion only device, it gets cold rather than hot. This technology could be used as an automotive turbocharger but the existing technology is already mass produced.

  • Hi,

Do you have any figures for the efficiency?

If it's better than a carnot or otto cycle engine, then it's a potential winner.

  • 60-90%

  • That was GREAT! I was excited at the 30,000 rpm scream of the turbine and chuckled at the end. As a fellow Tesla Turbine builder, I commend you!
