I love the old commercials. I hope you can post more in the future, especially from the 1970's and early 1980's (though any through the early 90's would be great). I was still 9 years old when this originally aired. I grew up in NYC but I think I only remember one or two of these.
Oh MAN! The Celentano's pizza commercial! I was 11 years old in March 1980 (in Brooklyn, NY). While my memory is a bit hazy about seeing that particular commercial, I do recall the product very well! It came in a cardboard baking tray that helped crisp the bottom. Man, that was some good pizza! I can practically still taste it today. Unfortunately Celentano has long since stopped making it. I dont know when or why they stopped. Never had a frozen pizza since then that was as good as celentano's!
The ending tags for the Bon Jour, London Fog, Mushrooms shoes, and the brief V/O of the Frank Field "NewsCenter4" promo, sound like veteran NBC New York staffer Wayne Howell. However, the local "Big Show" promo at the end was V/O'd by Roger Tuttle.
Not everything will be game shows; this channel was originally set up to show commercials and cable stuff, and I still like doing those kinds of videos. Don't fret, though; there'll be a show soon enough.
@gamelover1949 - The commercials, I have to say, I give a thumbs-up - especially (in the case of the New York stations) the local promos and ads. Gives me a chance to hear whose voices they are (as on here, Wayne Howell and Roger Tuttle).
Carol Channing in the Litter Green commercial - she was scary-looking even back then! That also sounds like William Daniels (a.k.a. KITT and Mr. Feeny) in the Bonjour commercial.
Yes, anything from New York is great -- shows OR commercials -- those "available at" voices always creeped me out when I was younger :D

Those 10-second ads, especially the Cookin' Good ad, were classic.

@NewYorkRetroKing Yeah; I wish ads were that short and sweet today!

@gamelover1949 Now you get loud, obnoxious and crowded 15 second types!

Could you post an episode of TPIR where a pricing game called It's Optional (where a contestant could win 2 cars) is played?

May I politely ask "What does this have to do with this video"?
gamelover1949 3 months ago
@gamelover1949 Nothing. I just wanted to see if you were going to be able to upload an episode of that show. Sorry about that.
MrAamigo 3 months ago
You can make those kinds of requests on my channel. Besides, I don't believe I have any episodes with it that haven't already been posted.

That's Casey Kasem v/o the promos for "The Big Show", "Here's Boomer", and "Pink Lady".
