  • @Angel090184

I have no idea.. I found the lyrics so I could follow it while playing..any other language would not be the same.. in my opinion.. you don't have to understand it.. music is international.......................

  • @alanmerzcharles ..yes..you right! but. like a teacher.. i need to know translation!.. but thank's anyway to share with us!...

  • @Angel090184

If I can find it I'll post it.. Oh where are you from may I ask.. I'm in the U.K.

  • @alanmerzcharles ..i am from Mexico. and please.. forgive my english... i'm a teacher/student of polynesian dance ... i'm so in love to culture of polynesian's island and hawaii .. do you practice polynesian dance?

  • @Angel090184

    Hi

  • Natural beauties from the south Pacific. The music is great, especially when na wahine u'i loa are dancing to it. I watch this vid often. Mahalo nui e Cook Islands. A great fan from Hawai'i nei.

  • This is a beautiful video. The music and dance is so melodic. I love to see my people represented in such a beautiful way.

  • @kellman5368 This indeed is very beautiful and you should be proud!!

  • Cook Islanders and Tahitians have similar language and culture so its not surprising people get the two mixed up.We all Polynesians... Samoa, Tonga ,NZ(Maori), Easter Island, Hawaii and everything inbetween(also some of Fiji). Celebrate the differences aswell as our similarities.

  • Agree with the comment if they went to NZ or some other country they'd get fat cos of the western diet. Its no good for our people,we have suffered so many diet related illnesses its not funny and getting fat is one of the symptoms.A natural diet is not only healthy for our people but also make us look nicer.Thats the difference between islanders in the islands and the ones in western countries, they are slim and healthy looking naturally.

  • It's a joy to see " real polynesians", and you are so beautiful. eingraugeist

  • we all brothers and sisters all polynesians

  • I love this video. Does anyone know if this group has any more videos available?

  • @elysekalani & @sikorskifly

although i am of cook island blood, i apologize for i am unable to fully translate the song. i can pick out a few words & translate them, but for the whole song in general, i can't translate. but, i can tell you that 'tiare' means flower. im thinking that this song is talking about the beauty of the flower/land & how a woman's beauty matches the its beauty. please, someone correct me if im wrong, but i THINK thats what it means. :)

  • Anybody know where to get the DVD for this?

  • anybody know how to play this song on ukulele ? :D

  • Islanders are owesome - if u can speak malay: Saya tidak budak laut, saya mat saleh ;p Take care fine people.. Bizoux

  • luv ds group awsong gurls go hard n luv da song

  • @Juliematua108 sorry honey..you will be sad finding out that samoan girls are the fattest n ugliest of all the polynesian race, you probly one of them fat bugga's too,oh whats bullshit samoan,is that your mum, this are beautiful cook islanders mate, they aint fat greasy samoans.

  • @fmoa That's a very ugly & negative statement. In Samoa, you won't see the stereotype that you speak of. In the U.S. sure, but that is a U.S. problem. I'm Samoan, fit and proud, and a few of the girls in the video look like relatives I have. I hope you become more aware of where you come from. All Polynesians are the same people. I'll leave you with this.

"People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character" Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • @robonesix sorry if i offend you,but there are some idiots who claim they are the best polynesians n talk up all other kind of crap like we are the best polynesians, best looking n av the best dance n so on so on like they are the only polynesian race out there, samoa is not the only polynesian people out there, theres alot,so saying this shit sucks coz its not samoan dance shows how stupid some samoans are,anyways..cheers mate.

  • i love video clip so much.i've been to the south pacific islands plenty times.

  • Quel beau video . ouf

  • love it!

  • Xtra! La OULA C ça!

    Accrochez-vous les filles :))

  • omg... I wouldn't mind to be cast away on such an island!

if the girls can cook as well as they sing and dance... I won't even try to find a way back... for God's sake, that woud be the paradise!

  • @bogdancomm agreed how blessed are they beauty grace talent and in plain terms HOT!!!!!

  • @bogdancomm can't' you hunt and cook for yourself ?let the girls praise.

  • @Juliematua108

I wasn't looking for Samoans, I was curious about this Tiare Tipani song and it is nice and graceful, as done by the "bullshit Samoans". Not sure how a "real Samoan" would do Tiare Tipani. Should I care?

  • @Juliematua108 theyre cookisland, not samoan!

If you want REAL samoans.. Watch a Samoan Dance!

  • @TheCecils6

So why was she complaining about Samoans when obvious non-Samoans are obvious?

  • Such eligance and grace!

  • Beautiful beyond words! Thank you for posting it, and the words too.

  • we did this song for our culture group in intermidiate ahaha and we came first for it haha yaaaay :))

  • I <3 this thanks for posting. Do hula myself learning a tahitian number which I'm excited about it.

  • This is an amazing video.

    When was it shot ??

It feels like it came from an older time than 21st century.

I play hawaiian lap steel guitar, and love the traditional island music, but I have never before heard this song, and a long time since I heard such great voices in this age of un-musical rap.

Can we have more of the same please ?

Tks so much for posting this on U-tube.

  • Wish this video lasted for eight hours. I'd like to fall asleep listening to it.......

    Almost like being there.....

  • I get goose bumps every time I watch and listen to this.

So incredibly sensual and beautiful !

  • You can see the hard time us fellows had when we dropped the pick here in 1750,wee Tom was beside himself jigging in the rigging!

  • Its no longer paradise unless us women can go topless. Its like taking a can of spray paint, and spraying it on the flower of wildflowers. They are no longer wildflowers. Maybe underneath they still are, but the beauty, it has been covered up and destroyed.

  • SANTISIMO SEÑOR DEL CIELO, AHORA SE QUE EXISTES, BENDITO SEA TU NOMBRE SEÑOR!

  • What a beautiful song..beautiful dancing.and actions...thank you for posting

  • this is beauty...

  • wow ....love it so much.....so serene and perfect

  • Wow, I was so depressed when I found this, but after hearing this beautiful song and watching their graceful dance, it's like I'm at peace with the world. It's like a weird nostalgic sensation of happiness and relaxation... so hard to describe

  • is this dance group frm th islands ? th girls have meaaan figures ! most dance groups i've seen have a lot of chubby girls who can shake ... but this is th frst group ive seen that can dance, sing and have mean figures ! awesome group yo !!

  • Wow !!!!!!! Incredibly spiritual !!!!!!!! Truly a gift from God.

  • @jonesbeachfun If you only plan to stay for 30 days and not work, you don't need one. I'm from there and my husbands an Australian and we only go for 1 month. Hope that helps. Check in case, things might have changed.

  • I'm not quite sure our civilization is such a good thing. I will gladly renounce to my car, tv, cell phone, laptop, microwave... etc... to live among these genuine people. those girls are so graceful and sensual... I'm sick of so called "sexy" civilized girls looking more like professional hookers than real women. I'm fed up with techno music, tuned up voices, electronic rhythm generators... I just want a pure natural voice... the way we live today is - as Chris Rea said - the road to hell !

  • @bogdancomm what a bummer

  • very nice....i will have this to show to my friends

  • Comment removed

verry thin body !! Bless you all

    Rev Javier Lipnica

  • vein is a dillweed where ever he is from! lol!

  • try not to stay in the house too much. saturdays is the best. go into town and visit the market. The market has music and stalls. many tourists and locals go there.

The best place to party is probably ' Whatever' bar and grill. locals n tourists go there. good music and good food.

The bar it basically on a balcony.

  • hey, are you from Rarotonga? I met a girl called Teremoana Tunui many years ago - is she still around? I heard she leads one of the dance groups now? would love to get back in touch

  • when u get there, don't wear jeans n sneakers. Its gonna be hot there. wear flip flops, shorts and some surf shirts.

while ur there, u can get a tan. visit the beach called Muri beach. try not to take too many of ur valuables with u. just take a certain amount of money. you can also watch a couple of rugby matches near Muri beach. On saturdays, u shud go to town and see the markets. people sell a variety of fruit n shit. The resort I prefer for u is the Pacific resort. its near muri beach.

    cya.

  • damn right I am.

    I'm from the cook islands

  • we all know where the center of attention is.

and no, we don't look at the hands

  • c0c0nut geek her names Puretu or something like that

  • be still my foolish heart!

  • no3 on the right 4me xxxx

  • DAMNNNNN Who is that girl on the right side 2nd to the front!!!! SEXY :)

  • I have read about these dances and every hand movement is based in a long tradition that evolved for thousands of years and every little movement of the hands has a meaning and tells a story that goes along with the song and has been handed down for countless generations!

  • Fantastic takes you to another place another time! It is so relaxing and mesmerizing! They have such great voices so mellow so soothing! And the music shows you can do a lot with a little! Too bad so many songs like this were lost! So sensual without being sexual! Heaven would be watching this forever!

  • The dance was real nice. I think the bras are a little strange.

  • It is actually local custom to make the bra from coconut shells that are polished smooth inside and out. And of course they come in all sizes. They are only used for the dance these days.
