But believ it or not, this culd just be a marketing strategy. Up till 'We Are Born', Sia had no recognition at all - her first 3 albums barely charted. So wat does she do? Make a pop album that a lot will enjoy but still with a different sound. The result is Alt-Pop. The album sells a lot, and people discover her mor alternative music, and she gets the recognition as an artist she desrves.

@FlotterOtter89 'Clap Your Hands' is pretty mainstream even tho no-one actuallt says that nowadays. Funnily enuf, she doesn't like her really-mainstream stuff, which is only this song and 'Titanium'. Wen she sings this song live she changes the lyrics 2 'Crap Ur Pants' and she barely spended 40 minutes on 'Titanium' and refused 2 promote it. Another marketing strategy of hers is doing her normal alternative stuff but on a big feature. 'My Love' was on Twlilight, and 'I'm in Here' was on Gossip..

This is an uptempo song, it doesn't mean it's bad and it doesn't mean at all that she's "becoming" someone else. She's just making music from her heart.
