the black dot is from a piece of nylon they use to hang the stick to dip it in lacqure .

Its a piece lead bored into the stick for balance and shock absorption as far as I know!

What is the black dot underneath, on the butt-end of the Regal Tip sticks? Is it a piece of rubber for anti-vibration purposes? Thank you.
