I've been trying to play along with this. The studio version of this song appears to be in the key of A minor, while this version (appears) to be in D minor. I can't quite get a grip on it. Anybody have any notes on this?

every live version I've heard of this is transposed up a 4th (from A to D) - the only reason I can imagine why he did this is because the verse is hard to sing loud in that key.. other than that I wish they would've kept it in A, since there's no version I've found of this live that I like...

Before I had the Dvd version of this concert I watched the vhs and by watching that performance of "spirits..." I thought the vhs would be broken or something. But anyway there's a small information on the back from the dvd that "some effects could cause seizures". Oo Then the purpose became clear ... ;)

The random people dancing and flashing red, yellow and blue. As much as I love this song and the Police, this song was virtually unwatchable. haha I was in a dark room at night. I can tell what they were going for with the whole "spirit" look of everything but the entire thing is so disorienting when all I want to do is watch the song. haha

Such is the 80's I guess! They thought they were being cool with that one.

I had heard about the overdone 80s post production video effects from some reviews of the DVD. I looked past it for the most part and kinda fell into the whole thing, them trying to capture the whole feel of the experience of the concert.
