that was adorable! That song actually his the spot with the angst I have been dealing with! I see you found a way to get around that cast! What ingenuity - if only I could grab some of that good attitude of yours- would help! Thanks for brightening my day:) Hey I want to play that song - going look up the chords!
nice. i just thought of something. tune your guitar to open G tuning. starting at the 6th string:
D G D G B D. then you can use something on your finger to act as a slide (or just use your finger). i'm sure you know the theory - open is a G chord, barre second fret is an A chord, barre 5 fret is a C chord, barre 7th fret is a D chord, etc.
You remind me of a story I've heard before (and I've heard the music several times) about a concert pianist who lost his right hand in WWI. After the war he commissioned a one-handed piano concerto (for the left hand) and resumed his concert career! Way to go, Matthew!!
Amazing technique. Amazing message. If one more person viewed this video, it would definitely be a beautiful thing. If one million more people viewed this video, it could probably stop wars.
You're a great guy, Matthew! This was fantastic! Bless you, Charlie (smile!)

At first I thought this was gonna be the Townes Van Zandt gospel song, but this is a pretty good one, too. Good to see you makin' music again.

Nice song, and a very innovative idea to play your guitar inspite of your injury.
