  • 3:13 he comes back to life!

  • @TheConsoleCommander your kidding right?

  • so what is the name of the song?

  • anaheim should have won that cup!!! scott stevens= thug

  • @Hawkeeman15 Scott Stevens = hall of famer as one of the best defenders of all time and the best hitter in league history, your just mad Karyia was one of his many victims

  • you can say kariya had a tragic career.... great early success the 2003 finals some of the best moments in hockey history... often called the next Gretzky things could have been so much more for him if he wasn't plagued with concussions.. now hell never get a cup and after he left anahiem it all went down hill...

  • @sikesy7 It's beginning to look like concussions are going to bring an early end to Crosby's NHL days.

  • Kariya had definetely great moments early of his career.

  • 42-1-2 Thank you Kariya.

  • Great video

  • Stevens kicked butt. Nieds learned from the best. Just as Lindros, Adams and Langkow. Had Selanne been there he would have find away to take him out too. Simply put one of the most leathal and best defensemen of the 90s.

  • Too bad. Kariya was a great player and that hit from Stevens was the beginning of the end of his career.

  • @g0dzRedemption

Stevens had an impressive hit list. Just added one more to it although Paul did remain a point per game type of guy even after the hit.

  • @g0dzRedemption i think other teams really had it out for him,he was insanely skilled and since he was playing for one of the youngest teams in the league, players didnt like it.

  • The mightiest duck to ever exist

  • ohhh man you forgot to show new jersey wining game 7 3-0.

  • I have a new found love & respect for Paul ;) 3:45-3:52 WOW

  • I am a NJD fan that followed every last second of that series and I have to say once I saw Captain Crunch demolish Kariya I thought his series was done let alone the game.

To see him come back in the same game and score a goal I have to say made me respect him 10,000 times more. If that was a tie breaker goal late in the game it would have crushed Jerseys spirit and I think the Ducks would have won game 7.

Either way a hell of a comeback by Paul.

  • I could watch this every day and it never get old

  • No joke this gave me the chills...mad props to who ever made this video it is with out a dout a reminder that Paul was such an amazing player !!!

  • 2:45-3:00 gave me goosebumps, I saw that game live and was the 1st person to see him back because I just happened to be looking down the tunnel when he turned the corner. my favorite player I play hockey the way I do because of him

  • OFF THE FLOOR! ON THE BOARD! PAUL KARIYA!!!

  • his puck control and skating.. very easy on the eye..

  • ForEVER a Mighty Duck Paul!

  • was paul kariya captain before scott N

  • am I the only one who gets nostalgic seeing some of these greats...

  • ruined by a cliche song

  • That's what I thought too

  • Paul Kariya paved the way for the small guys to play the game! god bless you paul. i cried through this.

  • Comment removed

  • horrible song to go with the vid

  • paul kariya ftw

  • "Off the floor on the board" indeed! That certainly would have been a most precious game to see live..

  • I honestly think the song's lyrics are not appropriate. It's an awesome song but "she's just a small town girl...." :P

  • @WerdnaLlewen1993 Followed by "..just a city boy..." true but he's not born and raised in south Detroit.. oh well, no one's perfect ;)

  • As a fan of the Avs, I was absolutely thrilled when Kariya signed on with his buddy Teemu..... Paul's been my favorite player ever since he started playing for the Ducks.... I wish he would have played for Colorado longer than he did. Paul Kariya, you will be missed!!!!

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the announcer?

  • @HandyAndy229 Gary Thorne

  • ducks need to retire number 9

  • OFF THE FLOOR!!! ON THE BOARD!!! PAUL KARIYA!

Hell yeah, this guy's a hero to everybody who everybody who's ever been down and out, but comes back to make a big impact.

  • best playmaker, best skater, best stick handler and the most intellgient player to grace the NHL in the past decade and a half. He was my favourite player as a kid.. the player i would pretend to be when out in the streets playing road hockey..an absolute legend..

  • a goddamn legend, and my hockey hero

  • my mom was a freshman at Maine when he led maine to the NCAA championship in 92

  • legend :)) good luck in life... naheim Mighty Ducks 4ever

  • bye bye legend!

  • had fun watching you play Paul. Never forget you man. Sucks you had to go out like this was hoping to see you play one more year before you retired.

  • great video, great tribute, brought a smile to my face, what a fitting tribute to such an amazing player

  • Video is good, Song is over used. JMO, but still great job

  • best tribute i have ever seen ! great job ! i hope he comes back one last year with teemu with anaheim !

  • datsyuk=kariya=hockey

  • Scott Stevens disliked this

  • It's a shame he played for teams that I hate lol. Colorado, Anaheim, St. Louis, Nashville, etc. Phenomenal player for sure though.

  • Kariya = Neo

  • Probably one of the best hockey video i ever seen in my life...Paul Kariya is a canadian legend with the gretzky and sakic for sure:O

  • He aint comin back this year....Post concussion syndrom has him knocked out for the next season. No room anyways on the Ducks for him.

  • Comin' back to Anaheim with Selanne, baby!!!!! (Hopefully anyway)

  • Stevens was the biggest "ass-wipe-cheap shot-run to the bench" player to ever play the game.

  • hopefully he signs with anaheim this year!

  • @bobhockey09 yaaaaaaa hes going too!!!! definitely!!!!

  • Man, if that one doesn't give you goosebumbs, check your pulse. You might be dead. "Paul Kariya, off the floor and on the board," has got to be one of the greatest calls in sport history.

  • @Wyant1

    AMEN!!!!

  • @Wyant1 that call gets me every single time.

  • @Wyant1 Certainly one of the best calls ever

  • @Wyant1 i wish i could like this 1000 more times.

  • great video !

  • Again, great video! I'm a big Kariya fan and this is my favourite tribute to him on youtube :)
