@Hawkeeman15 Scott Stevens = hall of famer as one of the best defenders of all time and the best hitter in league history, your just mad Karyia was one of his many victims
you can say kariya had a tragic career.... great early success the 2003 finals some of the best moments in hockey history... often called the next Gretzky things could have been so much more for him if he wasn't plagued with concussions.. now hell never get a cup and after he left anahiem it all went down hill...
Stevens kicked butt. Nieds learned from the best. Just as Lindros, Adams and Langkow. Had Selanne been there he would have find away to take him out too. Simply put one of the most leathal and best defensemen of the 90s.
@g0dzRedemption i think other teams really had it out for him,he was insanely skilled and since he was playing for one of the youngest teams in the league, players didnt like it.
I am a NJD fan that followed every last second of that series and I have to say once I saw Captain Crunch demolish Kariya I thought his series was done let alone the game.
To see him come back in the same game and score a goal I have to say made me respect him 10,000 times more. If that was a tie breaker goal late in the game it would have crushed Jerseys spirit and I think the Ducks would have won game 7.
2:45-3:00 gave me goosebumps, I saw that game live and was the 1st person to see him back because I just happened to be looking down the tunnel when he turned the corner. my favorite player I play hockey the way I do because of him
As a fan of the Avs, I was absolutely thrilled when Kariya signed on with his buddy Teemu..... Paul's been my favorite player ever since he started playing for the Ducks.... I wish he would have played for Colorado longer than he did. Paul Kariya, you will be missed!!!!
best playmaker, best skater, best stick handler and the most intellgient player to grace the NHL in the past decade and a half. He was my favourite player as a kid.. the player i would pretend to be when out in the streets playing road hockey..an absolute legend..
Man, if that one doesn't give you goosebumbs, check your pulse. You might be dead. "Paul Kariya, off the floor and on the board," has got to be one of the greatest calls in sport history.
3:13 he comes back to life!

@sikesy7 It's beginning to look like concussions are going to bring an early end to Crosby's NHL days.

Too bad. Kariya was a great player and that hit from Stevens was the beginning of the end of his career.
g0dzRedemption 2 months ago
@g0dzRedemption
Stevens had an impressive hit list. Just added one more to it although Paul did remain a point per game type of guy even after the hit.

I honestly think the song's lyrics are not appropriate. It's an awesome song but "she's just a small town girl...." :P

@WerdnaLlewen1993 Followed by "..just a city boy..." true but he's not born and raised in south Detroit.. oh well, no one's perfect ;)
