  • I am ecstatic to hear, after many years, The Pousette Dart Band's music being used in a TV series. John Curtis, guitar & background vox for PDB, was my guitar teacher in the very early 70's (right before he joined the band). He was phenomenal. Like many bands, producers & record labels can do in the best & we don't get to hear them after the first or second album. Hope all will check out Jon Pousette-Dart now & the original albums from the 70's with John Curtis playing. Every tune is a winner!

  • Super!!!! eindelijk George A van Sande

  • One of my favorite bands during my musical formative years in the 70's. Amnesia and Pousette Dart Band Albums were groundbreaking.

  • I'm 51 years old next month. From 1979 to 1988 I sang this song in every band I played with and the song was a hit every time we played it. These guys are very special.

  • This band reminds me a bit of Ambrosia although they also seem to have a bit of a country rock influence.

  • The whole "Amnesia" album is shimmering with musical brilliance.

  • This band is borderline orgasmic. True dat.

  • Jon is still making music and playing high end clubs like they have for the last 30 years. The old stuff from the 70s-80's is the best

  • Oooh the memories, my first love in High School, the inevitable break up that summer and my broken heart, a reconciliation before leaving for the Army, but a bond so strong we know if one of us is gonna fall the other is there, a Special friendship built on a solid foundation of honesty, trust, and shared joy for each others happiness, and there in times of difficulty~this song brings me back to the summer of 1978.

  • remember singing along..... swaying to the music.....

  • Wow...first time I've heard this band again in 30+ yrs. I forgot how incredible they are. LOVE this song.

  • Amen, brother

  • One of those fine bands that just never quite made it over the line.

There's lots more where this came from - search YouTube.

  • saw them live years ago at MY FATHERS PLACE in Roslyn, NY Great times!

  • I have this album on vinyl........Great album

  • Oh, by the way, it's Episode 11, The Hunting Party. Why not change your opening? Could save some people from download disappointment.

  • If you're going to dispense information, please make it accurate. Song is not found in Season 2 Episode 12, entitled Fire + Water.

  • Was fortunate enough to do a couple of shows with these guys in the early 90s

with Frank Orouke band Great music and great guys

  • I remember my Dad playing this record when I was little. I'm glad they showed it on "Lost" and it's sort of caught on again as a result. It's too good a track to be forgotten.

  • saw them alot one of the great bands of the universe. thanks jon.

  • Saw them at Infinity Hall in Norfolk CT last night, what a great show, beautiful sound, love their newer music as well! Love this band I had forgotten about... M

  • Yet another band I had totally forgotten about! Thanks for the post!

  • Great East Coast band ...some of us remember them as the Jon Pousette Dart Band. Was feeling nostalgic tonight and decided to YouTube them. I had no idea they resurfaced on Lost. Great to see others remember them as well.

  • amazing that this has resurfaced. Calif. band I believe ala Jackson Brown. The Amnesia album was an Anthem for me and my friends at SUNY Delhi. County Line, Amnesia and Fall on me...Wow what memories. Like to try to find it on the web for my iPod - any suggestions

  • they opened up for Gary Wright,Peter Frampton and YES at JFK Stadium in June of 1976.....i have the album with Amnesia and this.....

  • I'm going tho see them at the Norfolk music hall in CT. on July 3rd.

Haven't seen them in 30 years, almost to the day.

One of those great bands of the 70's that actually knew to how to play - A near lost art now (says the old man).

Amnesia, What can I say, County Line....great stuff.

  • Can't believe they used this on the show 'Lost'. They really pulled this one out of the 'proverbial hat' because 99% of the people out there probably never heard of the Pousette-Dart Band. Saw them at UNH in the 70's and the 'Amnesia' album has always been a favorite. How about the song 'County Line'? Great stuff.

  • great band...saw them in the late 70's, open for yes..great show...

  • awesome band. saw them several times while attending college in upstate NY 1978 - 1980. what a voice

  • Killer, killer band.

In the 70s they played everywhere, lot of sweet young faces at those shows.

Ya-yah. Aztec Two Step, NRBQ, Jonathan Edwards, tip of the iceberg, dont get me goin. High Times they were.

  • Every New Years Eve at the Paridise in BOSTON.

  • still?

  • We had a great station in LA that played several of their songs...they were all hits in my book.

  • They lived a couple houses from me when i was very young, they would practice in the Garage. day's of old it must have been when i was 6 or so.

  • What's the one that was playing in the background -it sounded like 70's music i think, w/o lyrics - when Locke was shouting "Henry, did you push the button or not?!" It's also on one of the disk menus of season two

  • they played at the catholic university of america in 1978 - we loved them; and listened for them for ages. Never say LOST but thrilled the song was on the show!! brings back memores from college...

  • Have the 33 rpm albums from the mid 70"s. These were a great group of guys that never made it here in the states. And this was one of my favorite songs, as well as one called Amnesia.

  • This is a great piece.

  • This was on LOST? Where? I don't remember it, and I've loved The Pousette-Dart Band since the seventies and LOST since they restarted the first season in the spring after the first season ended!

  • Uhm... I dunno *where* exactly it was played in the series, but I think I recall it being played in the Swan hatch at some point...? I dunno. I think there's a list of actual songs used in Lost (along with what episode) on Wikipedia, if you really wanted to find it.

  • Thanks, but I actually found it. It's was from Season 2, Episode 11, which was "The Hunting Party." It was when Hurley and Charlie were in the hatch looking through albums, and apparently found Pousette-Dart's Amnesia album, although it's name isn't mentioned. Hurley says it looks sweet, and they play it. Sayid comes in and says it's "quite depressing." I think I have to rethink my opinion of Sayid. :)

  • klasse track! da fühlt man sich gleich gemütlich!

  • Thank's :)
