I want to know if Nioxin shampoo actually works. Cuz im 19 and i got a horrible residing hairline. I cover it up with my long hair. But i loose ALOT of hair when i take a shower

@TopJimmyWinn Well Trade Secrets and most salons carry it. I wouldn't recommend using it every single day since it is really strong. I used it for over 2 years and my hair grew much faster than usual but I only used it every other day since I have very thin, straight hair.

I'm on my 2nd day taking Nioxin's "intesive therapy recharging complex" they're vitamins and it's 90 of them. It says to take them once a day, but my hair stylist recommended 3 times a day, but I'm not listening to her because I don't want to over-do-it.

I will have my thyroid checked though.

yust want to let you know, what i did.

i took biotin and silicic acid as a supplement on a regular basis and massaged my scalp in the morning and in the evening.

and for me- it help. Maybe it will help you too.

Just a piece of information to those who are taking biotin or thinking about it --- I heard from a friend that if someone takes biotin for a while, then stops, they create a difficiency in some degree in the B vitamin family. I PERSONALLY was taking Biotin for a few months then stopped taking it for 2 or 3 months and noticed a difference. My hair wasn't as hydrated, soft, full. I'm taking Biotin again and just from the past 2 weeks of taking it daily, I have noticed my hair looking more hydrated

Biotin is often recommended to counteract hair loss in both children and adults. Symptoms of biotin deficiency include hair loss which progresses in severity to include loss of body hair in severely deficient people. Some shampoos contain biotin but its doubtful whether they would have any useful effect as biotin is not absorbed well through the skin.I belive drinking too much alcohol can leave you deficient in biotin as you lose more of it through excessive peeing.
