also i was at every race the first 4 years this track was open what cooke done was not right but the track should have stopped riggs before this happened cooke decided to handle it since management would not as far as the people on the track that was their own stupidity a man pissed off in a 3000 pound car and you run out on the track dumb as hell in my opinon milton quit racing after this and might as well say riggs did too riggs was allowed to finished race and won but was light

one of my most memorable wrecks i've ever seen in person was kevin harvick putting riggs into the wall at texas in 06, I was so close, I could hear and feel the shockwave from scott hitting the wall. Didn't really look like Riggs did anything wrong there. He was racing the guy hard, and obviously faster than him. Drivers tap other drivers to let them know they're in the way, barely aggressive. Milton Cooke then seemed to cut him off as he came out of the corner, and Riggs had none of it. It was just chance that he got clobbered by the car that caught on fire. Cooke would be the idiot here, not Riggs.
