i think you've mixed up to things that should remain seperate - what a person thinks and their conduct. if i come to you with an existential idea, be it based on my own observations or based on religious texts, is hatred a reasonable response from someone who disagrees with me? however, if i come to your door and harass you with my opinions, then we have a new factor to consider - the harrassment. regardless of the opinion, harrassment is a horrible thing to experience.

Reportedly, only 30% of scientologists even know about xenu. Most reports from inside also state that celebrities are sheilded from much of it. they're introduced to the material(I refuse to call it tech. a fucking book is not technology) that is known to help(though I've seen some of it and really it's common sense with alot of made up words intended to make it sound more professional), and don't know about RPF. Scientology DOES operate like a mafia in many ways(front groups, extortion, etc).

That's the thing though. Most scientologists don't know about the other crap. They're lured in with the stuff that's interesting to them. How to control conversations, self help things(lots of non scientologists get lured in by self help speakers too, remember), all manner of things like that. They don't see the other crap scientology does, they don't see the RPF camps or the human rights violations or the deception. That's what makes it mind control.

I think you give scientology too much credit and not enough derision. And Will Smith is an intelligent man and I won't believe that he would get so far up an organization's butt and not know everything there is to know about it. And as for the lord Xenu shit, that's the whole premise behind the cult and every member knows the Xenu story. They just either choose to believe it or ignore it ,taking only what they want from it, but that doesn't mean they don't know the whole dogma behind the cult.

That's untrue. They only learn about he xenu crap when they reach OT3, which takes years of backbreaking labor or hundreds of thousands of dollars in auditing(another point there, you'd think the very usage of the word 'auditing' would bring up a red flag in someone's mind).

It's not quite as central to the belief as you might be led to believe. They really do start off in the cult only under the belief that it's like a massive self help group. That's how they get people into it.

Will Smith is very capable of rreading about scientology and he knows the story and that is his downfall in my book.

That's the thing. He might simply be ignorant and not know, or you could be right and he could be choosing to ignore it. You're taking alot of logic leaps here and making assumptions. I most certainly don't support anyone in scientology, but at the same time he could simply just be another person brainwashed into thinking that it's really helping his life. I personally don't think the man is very bright, but he does occasionally seem like he is. Some people are just blind.

Smith nearly spent himself into bankruptcy during the years of Fresh Prince. He has no knowledge of the background of Scientology, the survivors nor the multimillion dollar suits pledged from other countries. Cruise had much difficulty getting Valkyrie done due to the dislike of Scientology by the country of Germany. He hasnt done any research

They may only know a finite amount of info when they join but like I said these guys like Will and Tom Cruse are very intelligent and they would not go without reading all they can and the Xenu shit is central to their belief. So no excuses I'm dissapointed and I'vre lost all respect for Will. Especially since he is building a school with all scientologist teachers.....tell you anything?
