"Why does Ricky have all this hype around him?" Many may ask. It's simple; he's a pure PG. What does it mean? He creates shots for his teammates and reads the game like a great pure PG.

Players like Ricky are rare in NBA history. IF HE DEVELOPS THE RIGHT WAY, he might become a real star. Look at the pure PGs that have played in the NBA (Magic, Stockton, Nash, Kidd, CP3, ...). Almost all of them are considered legends. This kind of players don't rely on having a good or bad shooting night.

@yowyOw69 Well, I'm really enjoying what Rubio is doing but let's not get carried away here. Not all the pure PGs are legends. Andre Miller is a pure PG and he is a good player but not a legend. Maybe Rubio will be like Andre Miller in the future, a solid playmaker but not All Star material.

@Rasputin5005 agreed. Idk how many other PG's I'd choose over him, maybe 3 or 4, if that many. He's a true PG. He makes EVERYONE around him better. When he's on the court, the Wolves are like +49 but when he's on the bench, the Wolves are like -41. It's unreal how good this kid is already, & like u said, he's only going to get better.
