Much to aggressive for my tastes. The instrument does not have the "depth" necessary for this piece but I am spoiled on hearing it played by Puyana on the hass 3 manual one. Also, the tempo is a bit to fast IMHO .And YES Viral, Scarlatti WAS way ahead of his time !!
@zyxonian This specific instrument doesn't have a 16" stop. But I can encourage you to listen to the Balbastre CD by Elizabeth Farr. Wonderful recording of a great instrument with a 16" stop. I'm not sure if that CD is on youtube. I might upload it in the future.
This is pure undiluted madness in the hands of a genius.

Estoy de acuerdo contigo, DBJ06... aunque en esta sonata particularmente Hantaï saca lo que de violento hay en ella...

Pierre Hantai has a real spirit without being overly Iberic.
the instrument sounds good for this music just 2 8s.
I live in Spain and this has a genuine sound whith others miss.

perhaps, only perhaps, a bit too hasty

Yes, well spoken. Though Hantai and Scarlatti often gives an extreme (in a good way) result, which will probably take some getting used to.

Scarlatti is very extreme here, which Hantai nicely showed us.
