MAN! Zack is my favorite character. Most people like cloud or sephiroth, but man, Zack is SICK! He's kind of an unappreciated character, but his attitude just gets to me.

because zach and cloud defeated sephiroth they were taken by shinra and experimented on for 4 years. they tested mako on them at higher lvls than SOLDIER's because of this cloud has mako poisoning. they escape and zach decides to head to midgar .Zach dies and tells cloud to live on and that zachs hopes and dreams are now clouds so he must live on. This causes cloud to beleive he is zach (all the memories cloud has of him being zach he was realy just a shinra gaurd with zach).

they killed zack because this is a prequal to Final Fantasy VII where Cloud takes Zack's identity or something like that. and Zack was in Clouds memories or something like that... i guess you can say that reno is on zack and clouds side.

I think it was real sad when Zack dies but its one of the moments in the final fantasy VII series that makes the story a bit more than the others such as VIII or X.

well it had the best setup it was the first FF to be in complete t 3-d (even thought it was geometric figures. FF8 was one of my favorites, like the ones before it, it had tons of hidden secrets (like the secret GFs). it was a bit better than ff7 cause it "junctioned the GFs to the character of your choice. rather than trying to manage your materia. Materia was cool though, FF7 will always be the best in the series the FF8, then FF10 (in my opinion).
