Yowzer! You are darlin'. The CD is great! At first I was not happy about Jeff Soto being fired, but Arnel has proven he has what it takes to deliver the Journey sound. True, at times Arnel sounds like Steve, but he definitely has his own flavor. "Turn Down The World Tonite" is the by far the best song on the album. I certainly want to go see Journey again. And No Steve is a troll that should not be given the time of day.

Thank you for at least being open minded. I saw Arnel at one of the very first shows and one of the last shows in the US. He seemed really worn down by the last show and he was sick. second part of review. The concert disk is outstanding and has AP jumping around, kidding with Neal and all having a good time Dean does a great Mother, Father with him singing. This line up has a chance. SA was very good as the first replacment of SP. Arrvial was great, they are not there yet with the songwriting. The only reason Arrival did not have hits is because of lack of air time. The band will continue to face that problem it seems to be less with AP do not cout them out yet!!!!!

I'll review the rest. The 2nd disk is a recording of greatest hits. It is not simply Arnel Pineda singing to recorded tracks but him and the band singing their best songs. SP fans may be upset and feel disrespected. The sound is respectful and fresh. Sometimes you will think it is SP. Ther was Journey before SP and there is one now. SP is hugh and the best rock singer hands down. AP brings energy and life to the band that even if it contunined with SP would be a shell with all the conflict.

Revelation CD 1 is an excellent CD. All the songs are awesome. I couldn't think of any other CD as good as this one that I have bought. Other CD's i've bought usually only have 1-2 good songs and the rest are sleepers.So far the best song in this track is "What I Needed."

Yes, all in all its a fantastic buy. I bought it for the new tracks and live DVD and the new tracks are almost all winners. The addition of the 2nd CD was a smart move to show that Arnel has the pipes to sing the older material as well. I still says "Learn to Lose" is the monster song.

Im working on Part 3 as I type. Im going to be doing an in depth comparison before I revie wteh DVD...

I like both versions. I actually like Kevin Elsons production on Generations better personally just cause it sounds more like the Escape era as he produced Escape and Frontiers. Arnel does a great job on ALL the songs and Revelation has a more "modern sound".
