Add a new layer and use the selection tool to create a box, then fill it in with black. Drag this new black box layer underneath the picture you would like to clip to it. Then hover your mouse between the two layers and you will see a snowman figure 8 type graphic, hold down ALT and click, and you should create a clipping mask for the picture to crop to the box layer underneath it.
