I think you may be of the same mind as me, in the sense that, if an animal is born, unable to grow to maturity in the normal way, it shouldn't live. But you found a suffering animal. Why should you torment it? If you knew the bird was in distress, as I can clearly see, why not just save the poor creature from the pain and the fright of the experience??

Me and my guys were inside hanging, someone found it outside and brought it in to show us, and it started doing that dance, so having the cam on me, i videoed it. Really that simple. Then someone put it back out after a few mins.

@NebunLaCap - In hindsight this bird was only about a week away from leaving the nest, it was probably spooked by something or hit a gust of wind and fell out of the nest and suffered some sort of brain damage.

Parent birds will starve or kick out a chick if they know it won't be a viable adult, but they do it much younger than this chick, usually before it has feathers. Alot of animals do it, it's the same as how some animals ignore runts to give their other offspring a better chance.
