ur right hand seemed to get a little jumbled at :58 ish but other than that this was really good, this is a fun song to play, i enjoyed learning it when i used to play piano....all those years ago.. lol makes me feel old thinkin about it hahaha
@nchannon1984 He means that in the score the notes played in unison octaves in the left hand have staccato marks on them, and that they are played here as tenuto (not really legato because they're not slurred, just given their full value). What he means is 'I'm a pedant'.
pretty good budy, only one minor mistake, but keep it up. try and learn to make the melody sing above the accompaniment and work a little on dynamics. youll do great
.... He played it EXACTLY how the score is written. If there's an addition to the ending, I am going to be pissed if it's the same exact ending that I decided to put on my videos, which I thought I'd improvised lol.. check out my versions of Solfeggio... lemme know if it's the ending that you're talking about. I wish I could get as many views as this, but.. I guess my recording is a piece of crap regarding the sound quality in comparison.. I'mma record this again now actually. GREAT JOB BTW :-)
I feel sorry for this kid, having to learn on such a worthless electronic keybord. Our university has a piano lab with the same keybords, I find that I really don't want to play them because of their terrible action and voiceless tone! Get the kid an upright almost anything would be better then that!
I played that last year . It's a very difficult song . For my taste you played it way to quick, a profesinal played the same song in front of me and it was much slower with more emotion... You have good fingers but you don't play with your heart .
perhaps he doesnt play with his heart in this piece because it isn't actually a piece. It is merely an exercise that sounded so good it is played fast. I think he played it perfectly. I am playing this too and it is basically this speed. well done!!
I find it so hard to believe that a young man with classical talent would and could play boogie woogie with such enthusiasm. The best of two entirely differfent worlds.
Simpsonpep: you may have the best technique in the world but you're no musician. A real musician, like any artist, must be sensitive and have empathy. Judging by your comment, you have neither.
A true musician also offers constructive criticism (like Simon Cowell on American Idol). Being a musician means having to take the good with the bad. In my opinion, Simpsonpep offered solid advice. I played this piece too, as have most piano students. I hope that Lucas continues to play and share his videos with us, and that we can continue to support him & not argue about someone else's comments.
the best performance of this piece i've found on youtube,so far. I've seen some people murdering it..... you played it wonderfully. Precise timing. Well done.
simpsonpep you dont post a comment to brag that you learned this when you were 9 years old and stop nit picking over a couple of notes. get a life and quit with the massive ego
That is a very nice solfeggio my friend... You need to buy a real piano!!! You deserve it! I can hear electronic, asian fakeness even through the youtube codec...
good job on this piece. i realized at measures 12, 13, 14, 15 you kept speeding up and slowing down. Also, the end of this piece ends in a low middle C, NOT a C an octave higher. I recently finished my masters of music in university, and played this song when i was 9. But good job.
Oh my Gawd, Simpson! You finished your masters of music?! That's great! Wow, I wish I were more like you! Can you leave more pretentious comments on other videos, please?
(Btw, LuckyLuca99, great performance. Keep up the good work.)
Your piece is ok but your technique is wrong. Your elbows go jerking up when they should be still. Your tempo is good though and no mistakes. Only a little sliding towards the end. One tip- Towards the end of the piece, play slower.
Finally someone who has realised the meaning of "presto non troppo" which is how the piece should be played, great job, easily the best post of this piece on youtube!! Keep it up, oh and i like the white chef-like top makes you look more professional lol.
LoVe your keyboard. Nice...
Your playing is very, very nice! Bravo!

at 26 ish and 30 ish those left hand notes are suppose to stickato be not laggato ... probably spelled those wrong but oh well...

@STKhero What does that mean? Why don't you show us?
nchannon1984 10 months ago
@nchannon1984 at the times 0:26 and 0:30 your left hand notes are laggato, supposed to be stickato.
