  • Could you tell me the films you used at 1:38 and at 1:53 please?

  • @TerryCraig23 Both were Kodak Vision2 200T @ ISO 160.

  • no 85 filter so its showing all the blues

  • @PARRAVISION Actually, the E100D didn't need a filter, and I used an external 85B for all of the stocks that needed a filter for daylight.

  • You shot this in Evanston, IL circa 2005, didn't you? Did you go to Northwestern? I think I probably know you.

  • @leighu Yep, I did shoot this in Evanston, but I didn't go to NU.

  • I love the footage and the way it's shot nice one ! you've inspired me to buy a super8 whcih i just have (canon zoom 518 super 8 cine cam.

    canon cine projr s.400

canon c.8 tele converter 1.6x. lens.) owner had for over 30 years and they're in mint condition, obviously I have no idea what I'm doing but I guess film is the first step, did the reel+minidvconversion/development costs etc cost alot ?

  • Thank you for doing this. It gives a good side by side comparison. It would help though if you would label which time section coresponds to which film in your description. Is it me, or does Ektachrome 64T make blues seem too blue?

  • I'll keep that in mind for later reels. I actually did have a version where I put what was what, but I couldn't find the master tape.

E64T was the last film in the clip, so what you were probably looking at was the Wittnerchrome E100D, and I did notice a slight lean towards blue. I haven't shot any since then, so I don't know whether that's its normal look or not, but I suspect it isn't.

  • @cubdukat BTW, I found out what the E100D's propensity towards bluishness was about. I just discovered that the camera I was using underexposes E100D a little. I'll be shooting some of the Kodak-branded E100D soon in a camera that can expose it properly. I suspect that both the blue tint and the saturation will go down. I'm also going to do a side-by-side with E100D and E64T. E64T's improved a lot since its introduction, but I won't quite miss it when it's gone.
