@michaelcamden1 I prefer riding with the bar light as the shadows aren't hidden behind the obsticles on the trail so it is much easier to read the trail. I find helmet lights flatten the ground and also add weight and your helmet wobbles too which isn't great for concentration. Each to their own, people like what they know and know what they like. We also do a helmet light at the request of several riders, just as bright but more compact and lighter.
The video was shot with a standard GoPro which really does struggle with low light, if you have the HD it will perform better in a night riding situation.
Our lights were configured to 2100 Lumens so you should be able to get something with the Hope unit. We're looking forward to doing some filming with the X12, it's amazing.
Did you see our other video? It was filmed using a DSLR so less noise than with the GoPro and old MiniDV camera on this one.
Love the video - great demonstration of the lights and also the GoPro. Very impressive output on the lights, certainly not the cheap end of the market though...quality costs.
I've just ventured into night rides so didn't spent anywhere near the kind of money the Nemesis or X12 requires/demands (rightly so if the video is anything to go by!)
I'll try a video response with my first ever GoPro video at night with my Hope R4 over the weekend ;)
@xenomorphprime They're cheap, I can't dispute that, but be warned, you get what you pay for:
Magicshine 900 has been measured at less than 600 Lumens - MTBR Forums thread 570431
We're measured at over 4 times that.
Our lights are qualified through environmental stress screening (vibration, thermal, waterproofness, etc.). Magicshine 900 isn't renowned for its build quality of reliability!
We're certainly not targetting the Cheap & Cheerful OR Make Do & Mend markets
Always ride with 2 lights in case one putts out on you. Light in Motion has been wonderful for me and Nite Rider is great too. I had an older Solo Logic MV with 13watts of power with a burn time of around 3 hours it was super powerful and in the rain it was dependable. One light on the trail and on on your helmet in flood mode or opposite but either way always have 2!!
Hi Alexander, We supply lights worldwide. You would need a 99cent UK to US plug adapter for the charger for use in the US. More information on the website - being updated with an independent review that was published today - should be available in the next 3 hours...
@marcr0wley man i would love to but at 429 euros. isnt that like 700 US dollars? if i was racing it would be worth it but for recreational riding thats a little over budget for me. clearly you make a quality product though
Hi @rodgeritch , thanks for the feedback. The Full-Beam lights rock, makes night riding so much more fun being able to takle anything with these lights.
I need to get out and do some more riding/filming, thinking some night-time, dirt jumping next, good idea?!
I live in the UK and visited your website I found no where to buy them and no prices any idea?

Why would you do XC with Bar mount light? Put it on your helmet and SEE the trail where you look not where you steer. Ride on

@rjattack19,
Get some good lights (our ones!) and you can ride anything in the night that you can ride in the day.
I want to get out and do a couple more sessions with the cameras - looking at night time dirt jumping!
Thanks for taking the time to send a message/rate the video, it's appreciated.
