Multiple surgeries, pain killer addiction, almost losing the most important woman in my life, and realizing that some people see you as Not Broken afterwards. Its an amazing feeling! Starting to realize that I am not broken after all that has happened. Crawling out of that dark deep hole of self- pity and useless feeling was the best thing that ever happened to me. As a retired veteran who didn"t get called directly to the battlefield (Air Force then ANG for rest of career), but having a Dad who saw death up close and personal in the army during Korea, is song illustrates really well the need a wife or other loved ones have to show disabled vets they ARE still complete. I pray that these wars we're waging end soon as a reunion of all military with their families can help heal.

By that I mean the Firefighters, Police Officers, and EMT's that go out and risk their lives here. @masterlevi10 I think she meant well with her comment,but catch what you mean. As a retired veteran who didn"t get called directly to the battlefield (Air Force then ANG for rest of career), but having a Dad who saw death up close and personal in the army during Korea, is song illustrates really well the need a wife or other loved ones have to show disabled vets they ARE still complete. I pray that these wars we're waging end soon as a reunion of all military with their families can help heal.

@scubarulz If you don't mind my saying, and please, do not take this the wrong way. I think this song can also be looked at, not only for our Veteran's of War, but also our Veteran's at home. By that I mean the Firefighters, Police Officers, and EMT's that go out and risk their lives here. I am in training to become a Firefighter, but I owe it to those Soldiers, to you, and your Father, and everyone that has served for the oppurtunity.

All those who serve, whether it be our military, firefighters, EMT, etc. are to be commended.,and I applaud your desire to serve humanity and "a cause greater than yourself". No entitlement mentality with you, you were raised well. This video serves also a great purpose in showing that when the body is damaged by injury thru war or other causes while in service to others, those who Love us will always stand by us, even when govt. or anyone else will not.
