I love Lily Allen's music, but I definitely prefer local/independent bands for just that reason. Artists that go into mainstream pop (well, any mainstream genre, really) don't come out the same. @AmandaSpellings One band who have made it big and have remained ordinary and humble are Paramore. I saw them in London recently, one of the best shows I've seen. They kept thanking the crowd for their support and the band are genuienly grateful. In interviews Paramore come over as nice ordinary people with humility, even though they are a massive band, have sold millions of records and play to big arena's every night. I wish more people remained normal when they became big, like Paramore have.
