  • So it rises from, say, 6% to 10%. That may be over a 50% increase, but in REAL (actual) amount, it shouldn't be that big a deal if your business is already very profitable. God... either Republicans or the businessmen they represent are some of the WHINIEST, wimpiest people on the planet. Or perhaps both

  • Aren't state income taxes generally 10% or less?

THE FEDERAL CORPORATE TAX IS 35%! Boo-fucking-hoo, you gotta pay a state tax of 10%. Jesus...

  • It may not be a long-term job, but it's still a 'job' nonetheless. The conservatives act as though managers and execs have this SECRET JOB-CREATING POWER that the rest of us lack or that they've "discovered the key to creating jobs" that the rest of us COULDN'T POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND. Us peasants

  • The GOP talks about "job-creators"/"job-providers" AS IF CREATING A JOB IS SOME KIND OF ART OR SCIENCE. FOR GOD SAKE... It's not that damn hard.

How do you 'create' a job? If you've got money and need something done, you say, "I need someone to do this for me, and I'll pay this much", and they apply, and you accept the best candidate, and BINGO, YOU'VE CREATED A JOB!

If someone pays a teenager to babysit his children, THEY'VE CREATED A JOB!

  • All tax cuts that are designed to "help with job creation" should be CONDITIONAL- If you don't create many jobs with it (or any), it will be revoked IMMEDIATELY. ;)

  • Haven't we CUT TAXES ENOUGH SINCE 1981???

  • Tax cuts: Pretty much the GOP's only idea for "stimulus" and job creation
