  • @aappiinna tisisisi...tisisisi...tisisisi...tisisisi...CLAP

  • 5 people can't play the game...

  • Its the 7-88. DDT 'em, just like Jake the Snake!!!

  • You should be smacked OPEN - HANDEDLY haha !

  • 4 people aint players!

  • obsessed by this shit

  • Wiz Khagina needs to hear this...

  • @Trill104 what are you like 3? ur not funny. and you most likely are a 13 year old who just found out about dilla and named a random mainstream artist to give yourself underground cred. goodluck having fun with underground hipster eliteists.

  • @rayallen0 LOL Don't get mad, you gotta be a Wiz Khagina fan to find something disrespectful about that comment. Amber Rose is playing the fuck outta dude. I seen him on Thisis50 with this hoe entire crotch in his mouth just tripping lol man degrading himself over that pussy, you see he ain't put out another mixtape since he got that hoe...

  • @Trill104 lol you go to thisis50. the TMZ of hip hop. and yes i am a wiz fan but i find it just as stupid when someone disses soulja boy or wayne or someone. listen to the music. hip hop isnt about hating on people more talented and succseful than yourself.

  • I don't have to idolize ANYONE of them niggas, free country. They can(you can also) live in a fascad all they want. Wow they got exposure, I'm jealous...NOT. My life is lovely homie and I don't have to spit cliches to get what they got...Can do without the fame and rappers nowadays are comedy. Other than that...I grew up in the Golden Era of Hip-Hop, so excuse me if I think these rappers sound lame as hell rappin' about smokin' blunts and "Fuckin the world" on every fuckin' song.

  • @Trill104 never told you to liike them. but i dont like waka flocka flame im not going to randomally hate on him in a slum village video.

  • @rayallen0 Nothing random about this hate...It's funny how a song 10 years old sounds fresher than 90% of the crap being released today tho.

  • @Trill104 there is always bad music. if you think everything was good back then you are a moron. there will always be money grubbing artists and artists who just make music for it to be good. this is one of my fav songs of all time and listening to this song brings me into it. i damn sure dont feel like i need to knock another artist to uplift slum village. and yes your hate in this vid is random. wiz has nothing to do with anything. purple socks. that was just about as relevant as wiz.

  • If you think I won't have a opinion on today's music especially considering the fact that I grew up in the 90's with Pac, Big, Prime Jay-Z, Bone Thugs, and numerous other artist, then you're a moron. Don't get pissed just because I reminisced about the era of music I grew up in and threw a shot to Wiz Khagina. You talking like you're the God of this comment section, if you didn't liked what you read, ignore it. Don't get self-rightous and point the finger at me pissed cause I made a joke........

  • Just read the shit, and move on.

  • I'ts not Clair it's Player on a loop to sound like Clair.........Dilla's genious....

  • @skyygirrl brainwashing, peep this article. the backstory behind this beat was mentioned thefader(dot)com/2006/11/18/shine-on-and-on-extended-sentimental-remix/

  • @skyygirrl It is "Clair" by The Singers Unlimited, 2:17. Its on the album under contains sample...

  • @skyygirrl Your wrong it's the other way around. In the sample they were singing Claire.Dilla chopped it,slowed it and made it sound like they were singing Players.Yes he was a genius.

  • I can play this game.

  • "Clair!!!" Classic!

  • STAY BUMPIN THIS SHIT TIL THIS VERY DAY FROM DETROIT TO MIAMI

    JDILLA/BAATIN....THE GREATEST EVA LIVED.....R I P ~K I L L U M I N A T I~

     Dilla changed my life.

  • Classic

  • playaaaa

  • I'm pretty sure hes sayin player

  • @chiefs3651 It's "Clair" from The Singers Unlimited........

  • @chiefs3651 the original sample has the singer saying "claire", a testament to j dillas sampling

  • J.Diila has been slept on and is the best producer or beat sampler along with 9th wonder from the former group, Little Brother in my opinion.Elzhi- Love It Here. J.Dilla beat much respect. REST IN BEATS JAY DEE. THE REAL JD! SURXLOS

  • @GRANDCH1LD562 fheheheheyyy 9th is nice as fuk, but u puttin him over flying lotus and madlib...negative hahahah

  • 3 people are not players

  • I always bump this in the whip! Loud as fuck! This track is crazy. Dilla dogg hip hop misses you. Rest In Paradise

  • And my girlfriends name is Claire!! Haha! Dilla's such a genius.

  • Cruising music

  • If I could listen to one joint for the rest of my life...this would be one of them. It makes me feel like going out! Remarkably feel good!!! Wish it was longer. Rock on Slum Village!

  • 3 dislikes.. unbelievable.... no seriously... i can t believe it..

  • 3 dislikes? hell noo

  • damn dilla we miss you!!!!!!!!!

  • DDT em jus like Jake the snake

  • openin' her coochie hoe

  • openin' her coochie hoe

  • Comment removed

  • I admit I didn't know Dilla before he died. 9th wonder, Dilla, MF DOOM are all pretty recent to me, probably mid 08 late 08 i got into them. I found Dilla not because he was dead, but because I was still diversifying my hip hop tastes then. I was big on Nas' hip hop is dead, and then, I was too preoccupied with listening to Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Nas, Pete Rock etc. I agree with the other dude - Jay Dee isn't God but he def is one of the most gifted human beings.

  • @Musik4soul777

Mos, Talib, Nas, Pete Rock are all great...........I highly recommend Blockhead and Nujabes

  • im hooked to this song

  • @MaverickisDim man i know i dont really like it cuz his old vibe is what made him my favorite artist

  • 3 people need to be smacked open-handedly

  • when i first herd this i knew where flylo was comin from

  • back when i was small i loved a bunch of dillas stuff without even knowing he was the producer of so many different tracks.

to this day it boggles my mind that he made so many different songs that happen to have been old favorites of mine...

and i didnt even know of him until they announced his death on [adult swim]

  • I had to turn this up to get that bass!!! When I play thi s in my car, I have it pumping so I can feel it in my chest!!!!!! That bassline is the shit!

  • Pay attention Lil' Wayne, Drake et al...this is HIP HOP. For example: 1 verse from Slum Village > Drakes whole album...lol

  • @drummerpants, naw brotha! Drake was a big fail on that shit! I highly doubt that dilla would of had made music with that guy,, if he were alive Rip j dilla,, whack rappers please leave his masterpeices alone.

  • dilla was a great prodcuer. no doubt. but I wouldn't deify him like many people do out there. of course, he's dead and it's great that so many guys commemorate him but I guess too many folks glorify him (even because it's trendy). he was a normal talented cat and no god. there are 4, 5 beats I give him credit for and which really changed my (musical) life. but he also made beats which are average or even below average. and I gotta say many (also unknown) producers are in hot pursuit of him

  • I think Young Drake would do a good job on it. Young-er Drake, that is. Back in The Comeback Season/Room For Improvement years. He sounds like an android, now, though. So I'm afraid it wouldn't work out so well. His verse on "Share (It With The World)" featuring Slakah The Beatchild reminds me of this. He's nasty, yet nice as fuck on that joint. But I digress by saying that I really wonder if what people say about Slum Village gettin' at 5ELA on this classic boom-bap cut is true. Hmm....

  • @drummerpants drake no matter what wud not do good on any dilla beat

  • @vgsdjkg Think again. Listen to Where To Now from Comeback Season. If you don't like that, then that's on you, man. I think it's a damn good effort and I like the outcome. It surprised me

  • They need to be smacked open handedly by these, CLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI RRRRRRRRRRE! wow that was caught.. Ya'll stick to freestylin cause yall aint no writers, trying to be some CLAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIRRRRRRRE ! wow its like the song is made anew and fresh knowing whats expressed in the voice sample of the song. how could you sing the word Players anymore when the sample drops within the song after hearing Claaaaaaaaaaaaiirrrrrrrrre...lol

  • what im gonna do is like uh...

cut out ya whole crew cause your crew likes to bite us!

  • I wanna hear Drake flow over this beat..

  • @shyshotcaller27 drake sucks.

  • @boomer100001 You are entitled to your opinion my friend.

  • @shyshotcaller27 I am also entitled to facts.

  • @boomer100001 lol, if it was a fact you would be entitled to it. lol I guess that fact is in YOUR head. lol

  • Superior!

    Dilla.

  • Clair!!!

  • boy got soul

  • Yo it seems like fantastic vol. 1 was the roughdraft of vol. 2..... that shit is a masterpiece.

  • @beatstro Umm..... I would only think that about this song, as well "I Don't Know" - being that they put out a diff version of these two tracks on Vol. 2

  • @nyse41685 Word, Players on vol. 2 is the same but a lot more clean sounding than vol.1

  • Seriously who gives a shit if some cats didnt get up on Dilla until after his passing? If you're a Dilla fan, did you not have to get up on him at some point in the game? That means to someone else, you may also have been late on checking for Dilla. Stop being fucking music snobs. I'm all for anyone being a Dilla fan. Shit the man made good music, so why would I knock someone for being a fan? Shit gets as old as hearing people knock Lil Wayne in ever damn video. We know already!

  • @HintR9 preach

  • @HintR9 For real...some cats out there hate on other fans...actin' like they were with Dilla when he was making demos, tryin' to get put on himself. They need to chill^ ^

  • @HintR9 i feel you on that. just a'lot of heads feel like they have to protect his legacy..lol.. i've been a fan since the ummah days and as long as you know his history of work then it's all love, cats probably just die hard fans

  • @HintR9 one of the best comments ive ever seen

  • Real hiphop ends here!!

  • @Corosavan Hip-Hop never been dead just gone out of mainstream, which is a good thing lol

  • "Don't let the drama fluctuate!"

  • I'm diggin' it.

  • Some real hip hop right here... This joint is straight fire.

  • AND THIS is the reason i pick up whack records sometimes, some people get what i mean ;)

  • I was into Stonesthrow before I was into Dilla, but I recognized the Slum Village. I'm just a bigger fan of Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib, MED and those cats.

  • I remember first discovering that the vocal sample wasn't saying Plaaaaaaaayeeeerrrrs

  • @orgnice did you you see the vid on youtube where the guy recreates the sample

  • Player.....

  • yo that's some real talk chapterthrive ,if you didn't know J Dilla while he was makin hits for the Pharcyde,u didn't really know J Dilla

  • "when you fronts it's inspirational"

  • Dilla beats have to be most ill for awhile in music. Too bad it takes someones death to put you on that path to search and find gems of that artist's lifetime.

  • lol Barak records... ain't, that-a-bitch

  • @maclegend What thats lucky

  • chillout thrive, they might be saying a little too much but we all come from different backgrounds where religion doesnt mean as much to them as it does to you. so if someone wants to say he is next to god, respect it.

  • OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • Classic

  • Yea, so fuck you below this comment. Like you know who the fuck you're talkin about. You don't know when any of these cats started listening to anything, so quit actin like you're some elitist, because no one gives a shit. Maybe Dilla really DID save some of these people.

  • @KidIkarus im sorry, but are you retarded?

you just admitted to jock riding him because he died.

if the logic holds, his track record should speak for itself and dilla WHILE he was alive.

your analogy holds water like a siev.

much like yer head holds logic.

  • what I'ma do is like uh,, cut out ya whole crew cause ya crew likes to bite us

ya'll stick to freestylin cause ya'll ain't no writers

    tryna be some PLAYAZZZZZZZ

Man I been lovin this since I can remember...

  • ganda beat

  • Heard this on a list. Damn.

    Much respect to Slum Village.

  • clairrrrrrrrre

  • @rafachafa92113

    Hahaha

  • man This whole album had some CRAZY BANGERS... This joint killed me with that bassline haha

  • Y'all need to be smacked open-handedly....

  • PLAAAAAYERZ!

  • this clap goes HARD.

  • seriously, that is a slamming arrangement of claps

  • R.I.P. Jay Dee on the fourth anniversity of you death. R.I.P. Baatin. Both kept Hip/Hop moving forward

  • lol just enjoy the music!!!!!!! Classic!!!!!

    CLLLLLLAAAAAARRRRRRRREEEEEEE!

  • @J0N4TH4NK1: Yeah man, many ppl think Clare/Claire is being said but its PLAAYEERRS that's being said really muffled!!

    Rock on homie!!

  • @roiafricain no, other way around, the sample he used says claire, this song says player

  • @yourmomsfavproducer: yes your right brotha! I think that this was their intention as well to make ppl talk about this also...

    Peace

  • @roiafricain Actually....Clair IS whats being said. See for yourself--the "recreating J Dillas "players" sample " right over there in you tube suggestions. Peace and LOVE DILLA 4Ever.

  • @AllLove84 -- oops looks like this has all ready been cleared up. All love.

  • @AllLove84: Yeah it has...later man!

  • You Guys Needa Stop Talkin Shit.

You Mother Fuckers Are Professional Critics,

An You Funny Guys That Say Maybe I Wanna Be One.

    Suck A Dick Faggot.

    Just Appreciate Good Music Pussy.

    one.

  • fantastik vol .2 has got to be one of the dopest albums to ever touch the surface

  • Jdilla, Rest in Beats. one of the greatest beat makers/producers. And im fucking happy cause i found an Record of this LP yesterday in my sis garage, Luck is on my side ;)

  • some of you are saying pretty ridiculous things.

yeh, dilla was great, but id suppose about 85% of you didnt jock his shit until he died and it became trendy to wear dilla changed my life shirts.

ie: "dilla is next to god in my eyes."

    wow.

    check yourself.

i got respect for the man, but i wont act like hes my personal savior.

  • I agree with what you are saying. Im a dilla fan myself...and have been a fan for the longest time. Im noticing how everybody is on the dilla wagon once the man passed. Not to say you cant appreciate his music postmortem, but stop this insincere praising of dilla because you think it will win you brownie points with your peers. Its no better then wearing trendy fashions because you want the public to notice how "hip" you are. Please keep you taste in music, art, fashions, etc authentic.

  • @chapterthrive you right i was tell people about sv and no body was checking for them all and i couldn't take out the deck

  • @chapterthrive i believe that too some extent unlike alotta these cats that jumped on his nuts after he passed, i was only gettin into this style of hip hop when i heard of madlib then i heard jay dee and it changed my perspective on music im not on some dilla bandwagon like some of this cats lol

  • @chapterthrive just like jesus - not great when he was alive, great after his death, and now he is our savior. gonna ask every christian to check themselfs as well?

  • @soulwithmusic

    lol just kill urself dude

  • @chapterthrive but you're STILL a fag! damn G, let people do what they do. you aint a hero.

  • @chapterthrive

THANK YOU, SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT

  • @chapterthrive ye fair enough people r goin too far with the saviour business

but so what if they found dillas work after he died

im glad more people are recognising him

he really is one of the best to do it

and for the record....musically...dilla changed my life

  • @chapterthrive perhaps you don't understand how certain people percieve his music. not everyone can just "listen" and that's it. some people attach emotions to music. for all you know, someone could have been on their way out. you know, down in the dumps no reason for hope. and then one of his tracks touched them or reached them on some level...WHATEVER LEVEL...and could have easily changed their lives. just because you may not take music the way others do, doesn't mean they're phony!

  • @chapterthrive word. the first time i personally heard him was in '95 but i was born in '92. i always listend 2 him and i cant stand seing self proclaimed "fans" that only heard a few songs and call him "the best." thanks 4 callin um out brotha

  • @chapterthrive I know what your saying but there is no way im one of those i saw SV at glasto in the 90's but its ok for people to start bigging him up because to me thats a step in the right direction i know that its annoying because its like these people did not give him the time of day but at the same time my love for Dilla is so great that i just have to accepted it

  • @chapterthrive Oh thats Glastonbury to you not Glasto

  • @chapterthrive dilla's always been that deal. sure it may have gotten carried away in the nostalgia but the man left a legacy. .. let his spirit revel in it whatever it takes yo. . . Dilla-tastic

  • @chapterthrive preach dat shit Chappy!!!

  • @chapterthrive 1hundred!

  • @chapterthrive but dilla IS god

  • @chickenandgreens no... to be honest J Dilla was an gift from god FOR REAL HIP HOP PEOPLE Just Like My Other Homie Nujabes R.I.P they save me from hearing those retards on that main stream stuff Thank You God For The Gifts!

  • @chapterthrive word

  • @chapterthrive I dont care man. If these Dilla loving posers actually push his music back to the forefront and a new generation is inspired to create some REAL Hip-Hop again then its all good with me.

How Tip has to struggle to promote an album while someone like Solider Boy gets played every 2 songs on MTV makes my fucking blood boil.

  • @markyraah im sorry but exposure is something that brings popularity.

  • @markyraah look though q-tip actualy was nominated for a grammy those are real things the if relapse was nominated to he would have an even greater chance of winning.

  • @chapterthrive

    Thank you.
