  • BUNGEE AMERICA MADE NO MONEY LOVE IT!!

  • No hacky sack? Where's your guitar?

  • @NigzBsrz Hahahaha Not into either of those, try selling your Gypsy wares back at burning man. Hippie.

  • @mattblank3113 I was being sarcastic. I'm calling you a hippie based on some of your responses, numb nuts.

  • @NigzBsrz Ohhhh...Really, you analyzed the past posts and compared them to your hippie manifesto. Well, I'm not into sarcasm either, go try your comedy routines back in 2nd grade.

  • Legit! I've done this, but with a deep river below, and we rapped off the end of the rope on the upswing (gri-gri with back up loop clipped as well) into the river.

  • also meant to say lateral shockloading but seem to have ommited typing it.

  • Questions, looks like you had some good anchors setup, but are you guys only using one line when jumping? thats ballsy or crazy im not sure, second what is the fuction of the gri gri at 1:03, i see the line leaving the grigri is clipped to harness and belay loop, so i though the grigri was there as a backup at first, but given that grigris arnt made to take such crazy shockloading and if it did damage the line/cut anything after the gri gri cam, the second tie off when then be redundant, cheers

  • @Jolinator I gotta disagree with your there. They are indeed made for massive shock loading and if they were able to cut or damage ropes, they would be pulled form the market. I've never once heard of a grigri failing. On the other hand it does FEEL sketchy, and it's always good to have redundant systems. When I did this, I clipped a butterfly knot above my grigri, so I had to do a little pullup to unclip from my harness, then rap off the end with the grigri (into water lol)

  • @blacksun32 as i said in a followup comment, i meant lateral side loading, they can definatly take the shock, i meant if you swing on the grigri sideways its not designed for that, when belaying with it, its always orientated correctly, anyway im not criticizing anyone, more curious , putting a backup above the grigri i can understand that way your grigri is your backup and not taking the brunt of the load.

  • Some of the most experienced mothafuckas like Don Osman's ropes have snapped.

This is frieking dangerous ass sport.

  • really nice quiet bridge to set up on .... where does the bridge go to?

  • The bridge is amazing, but please keep the area as you found it.

This place is becoming so overused and the place will have lost its seclusion and beauty. Take you trash and equipment. Do no damage. Sometimes these jumpers only care about what they can get from things, and leave the damage for the rest. Just a reminder. Thanks

  • @pigjubby1 Good call pig. Just to let you know, we packed out.

  • @mattblank3113 I totally thought u just called him a pig for some reason... then I looked at his name LOL

  • that is stupid, ropes aare not made for that -.-

  • @maxmtydiaz I assure you that they are, if not everyone in this video would be dead.

  • @maxmtydiaz you put more stress on the ropes doing a 15' fall straight down then doing a 100' swing. + theres a swing tention formula if you want to know how much stress your putting on the ropes. So you can choose the proper ropes.

  • how much rope did you use for that?

  • @hellerase about 300 meters if counted all the rigging

  • I love Matt Blank

  • @norwejon I love you too Jon, see you soon.

  • @mattblank3113 Do your research before you say something like that. This is a softer fall than your typical lead fall Less pressure on the rope at least)...

  • @cmarcus86 Research done, I don't know what you're referring to, but I don't think you understand what I was implying. The ropes are absolutely made to handle the types of stress we were dealing with. If they weren't we would not have been successful.

  • @mattblank3113 Yeah, looks like you guys did. I meant to reply to user maxmtydiaz who said "ropes are not meant for that..." What I meant to say is that ropes are meant for this and they are meant to take harder falls than this even. It definitely looks like you guys know what you are doing. Wiki "Fall Factor" and it shows you what I am saying about how the rope is meant to handle so much more.

  • @cmarcus86 Aww...that makes more sense. Safe climbing and blue skies.

  • 2 words...

    GONNA SKYDIVE!!!! :D

  • fucking white people

  • Those bridges connect to the HOUSES on top.

  • @mosslager Azusa is known for it's cannons. Those bridges connect to YHWH uses at the top of the mountain to the main city. It's really beautiful up there

  • Matt, are you familiar with the late Dano Osman?

  • @highlandbreez As familiar as one can be without knowing him. He remains an inspiration to me and many others who share his passion for adventure.

  • beautiful nature, would like to be there to ..

  • Doesn't look like any of BungeeAmerica's staff was there..no one jumping --no gear hooked up. what did you guys do just go out on a day they were closed? LOL!! HAha that's funny. If I was out there I'd take my cords out and jump it! or rope swing it when they were closed. They used to use bridges that weren't exacty theirs and didnt have permission to use em. I'm supposed to go to CA in a couple months.I think I'm gonna bring my stuff and do that.I'm glad I saw this.I think it will be be funny ::

  • how do they get back up!

  • @logan1273 we climbed back up the rope using mechanical ascenders called jumars.

  • @mattblank3113 how does one go about becoming experience enought to do this, i looks so awsome!

  • @logan1273 @logan1273 Start small with rigging manuals and rock climbing rope management. Get involved in SAR or Rope Access and start rigging smaller scale things with some more experienced people that can teach you.
