I can't believe how similar the vocalist sounds to Cedric from At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta. I almost thought it was Cedric doing the vocals the first time I heard the album, I had to Google it just to be sure since they sound so similar.

@Ryanmusician Haha I agree... @Zuiit164 in my opinion CIM and TMV are two very different-sounding bands and I wouldn't say that these bands sound extremely similar, and so I wouldn't call this TMV. You can hear the similarities with the prog and psychedelic-ness, but they are totally different. CIM is more "alternative", and TMV is more "rock", in my opinion.

I can almost listen to this band more because I can only handle so much of Cedric's voice in TMV haha.

Any other opinions?

I can't handle extended does of The Mars Volta either. But it's not Cedric's voice so much. Some of their songs just don't deserve to be quite as long as they are. A 7, 10 or even 20 minute songs CAN call for that amount of attention.... sometimes
