I saw his other roles which were oscar nominations, they were all very good. With Jack, Johnny has shown that he is genius, creative and very special. Barrie looked quite simple, yep, a normal person, but Johnny did it in a fantastic way making it his perfect role so far but I heard that Johnny was too handsome while the real Barrie didn't look good at all!!! Anyway, don't know why he couldn't get the oscar but if i had to choose, it would be his best performance!!!!

Incredible movie! Johnny Depp played this role in a marvelous way (specially with the accent), Kate Winslet looked beatiful in every scene (even in the ones she was sick), Dustin Hoffman could have a few more scenes but he did a great job and Julie Christie looked amazing like the grandmother we wouldn't like to have.

XD But srsly, the only movie I've ever seen with Depp looking very physically unattractive was in 2004's The Libertine - *Spoiler* He becomes very disfigured after a certain point in the film, and it was very well done prosthesis and makeup effects. But most important, though: that film is an underrated little jewel of Depp's!

Both were accused of being a pedophile (but they weren't, they were just really misunderstood). Both had a pretty tragic personal life, but were very creative and loving as well.
