That was pretty bad. Not the video itself, but the riding. The riders have no security and they're all over the place. You can't expect a horse to jump when the rider is inhibiting him. Most of those riders were doing things way above their level.

The first time I saw people riding English I though that too, but now that I ride I know that the reins just look tight but to keep a good contact the reins need to be a staight line from the horses mouth to the riders hands, and our elbows act as an elestic so there's lot's of give. It's not as uncomfortable as you would think. And it only "looks" like were tence, if I were to tence up on a horse it would be a rough ride.

The only reason that you see English riders falling off more then western riders is because it's more popular. the very last one was weird-it was a bad jump because the whole thing fell over if you knocked off the top pole. Thats potentially very dangerous to horse and rider. But the horse could have knocked it with his foot, he was very right, instead of in the middle. eh.
