  • มวยไทยสุดยอดครับ

  • am so sad bcos we have no chance to learn good muay thai in our countries....

  • @bathiya01 I saw gyms in Ayudhaiya, at least 5 in Phuket, can't count how many in Bangkok, a few in Issan and there are more than a few in Chiang Mai and many other places. Plenty of Muay Thai modern and Boran in Thailand. At the main sports center in BKK there are free classes for Thai people, the one near MBK. I know its old post, but good luck and best wishes.

  • what does the word 'MAE' means in thai?

  • "Mae" = Mother

  • @NYCKhite its does mean mother but in this context it would more correct to translate it as 'major'. there is 'look mai' which wouldnt translate to 'child techniques' but rather 'minor techniques'. so here it means major :)

  • like the skill not the music

  • I'd love to see videos of all the techniques in every martial art. To prevent injury of the ones watching, they won't explain how they are done, but just to know the differences between chaiya, boran, and mae mai would be awesome. TIGER UPPERCUT!

  • Who are the performers in this video?

  • damn, i hate these "songs" they are always the same and rly get on my nerves

MT ftw ! Their music ftl :)

  • @immortaliserwow its part of muaythai, the west already ruined other martial arts like karate..etc by removing shit they think is unecesary

  • i wana really kno da theme of da vid

  • very great techniques. muay thai is the most powerful martial art .

  • i agree with you

  • ohhhh, these moves were in the flm Ong-Bak, tony jaa even called out the names of the moves..!

  • i actualy dig this music. it matches the art.

  • @vespaman101 I havent got a problem with it, but it i dont see the flow it sounds like noise

  • these techniques would be really effective...but the defender (by that i mean the one countering the attack) would have to see that specific attack coming in advance and remember which counter to use...

  • the idea is to make it a habit. that every counter comes automatic. once you know the mae mai, mix them up and do them in a random order... it will come in time :)

  • They should thus fight faster.

  • ear rape

  • this fuckin music kill me

  • you have to listen to it for awhile. It differs in style and meter from non-world music

  • Whoever did the audio put a quarter second delay between the left and right speaker, so it sounds garbled when together. Put on headphones and listen in one ear and you'll hear the right version. I listened to it together and I had to laugh, it did sound horrible. XD

  • aha .....nicht cool

  • I love all the muay thai videos on youtube. Knowledge is power. To all the people who post all/different fighting styles/techniques on youtube, keep up the great job. ;)

  • the last elbow attack was aweasome

  • this is so stupid i dont know why people keep leaking/showing muay boran style/techniques out on youtube. it shouldnt be spread out like this. People who do not know about the art could just watch this and take the move and call it there own or claim that they know muay boran. I have no respect for people who post these vdo's out on the net at all. You want to learn mae mai muay thai, then go to thailand and learn it.

  • the only place you can learn mae mai muay thai is in thai land. is it true and there's aother places u can learn muay born exept thailand?

  • other countries claim to teach it or maybe they do, but it is better to learn it from a great old man in thailand whos knows the history background and the style.

    source:

    My grandfather.(in thailand)

  • I had to go to Thailand and honestly the current Muay Thai is just as good the difference seems to be fairly minuscule the biggest thing is Muay Boran allowed head butts

  • I agree with you that people should have respect for the style but I don't think they should have to go to Thailand to have to learn it, not every would be able to afford it.

  • yeah you can find schools in the states that teach authentic muay thai the right way, but they're hard to find. most schools just teach watered wanna be muay thai kickboxing...but if u can save up and spring for a trip to thailand to train in one of their camps u should do, everyone i talk to say it was an awesome experience.

  • do the actual camps cost money?

  • yeah u pay by the day, the cost includes food and room and board, average is about $22-28US/day they say it takes at least a month to get acclimated to the training routines and really benefit from the camp

  • yeah i looked it up the standard of living is so affordable and man i'm going when i get out of high school for vacation/training i'm thinking about going for a year what do you think? afterwards i'll go to college

  • a year?! wow that'll be pretty expensive, but you'd be a hell of a fighter afterwards, if u can stay away from the nightlife

  • yeah about 2,500 for the training and room and board and i think i'll have another 2,500 just for whatever (i'm middle class got to work for my own money). now what's this about the nightlife? i heard something about it but what do you have to say?

  • 2500 for training & room & board?! what camp is that?! thats ridiculously cheap

  • well fairtex is 7700 baht (which right now is about $219 a month or $2628 a year) for a shared room/training/2 meals per day/amenities. i haven't really picked what camp i want to train at so there are some that are cheaper and some more expensive. do you recommend a camp?

  • wow thats not bad...im looking at por pramuk gym so i can train side by side my favorite fighter, buakaw. its runs about 630/month, i'll prollie try and shoot for 3-4 months

  • how old are you? and correction fairtex is that price weekly and i added wrong i'll be paying probably 3000-3500 for the training etc. and bring like 2000.

  • im 25

  • do they speak english at any of those places? cause id love to that but i obviously cant learn thai just so i can learn a martial art....

  • i think it depends on where u go, but they'll have someone that speaks a lil english, because they're trying to bring in foreign dollars

  • retarded music

  • its Muay Thai music what do you expect?

  • asian power!!!

  • every martial art have a own art..so don't judge anything..just learn it!!

  • Yes i do admit that Spetsnaz is an elite fighting group and extremely tough, just not the best in the world.

  • the spetsnaz (most elite military group on the planet). rofl i bet your russian?

  • i am not, however i am getting a degree in foreign languages. and am taking military science classes. the U.S. military even admits it. we send many of our SEALS over to russia to train with the spetsnaz and theyre amazed at how tough they are. im sure you could find an interview if you looked hard enough.

  • shit i like to wear those bandages on theer arms anybody agreed me???

  • i'm in ninjutsu training^_^

  • ive been learning muay thai 4 lyke 2 years since i was 12 n this r juz demonstration in a real fite u muz reli read ur opponents attacks b4 doing this tectniques bcoz they will juz keep attacking bt im more of a muay thai kicker den boxer bcoz im used to it muahhaha

  • I do shotokan karate and muay boran ... freinds dad teaches me.

  • muay boran ,.thai ...mma and thai best martial arts out there bar none ...

  • permit me to disagree and say muay boran/thai and capoeira. to me mma has become just brazilian jujitsu which i've done before and is really effective and an art in its own but just dosn't seem to beat out capoeira.

  • caporeia as a combat art ? do they combatants in a any mma or k1 or similar show ?

repsect it as a training art ...but show me a combatant who can use it as a combat art at a high level ?

  • capoeira seems less pratical yeah but can ve effective in combat, training itself is tough on the body and builds every aspect of fighting. lateef crowder and espirro mirim(world reknown as one of the best ever) show it can be used in fighting.

  • well i hope so ...i recognised the body training must be hard ..as i said i respect all arts but i have yet to see it applied realsiticly ...if a art is realistic anyone should be capable with a minimum about of time

  • yes actually i agree just i train in brazil a while and never really saw cap being used in any real big fights ,street fights nor vale tudo outs ..i respect all arts ..just dont have time for cap.. too busy with thai, mma, pankrase etc ....

  • ive only seen one copeira fighter in MMA

  • actually, i take muay thai and togakure ryu ninjutsu, its not a matter of whats better than what. in terms of street application, muay thai yea, but if your killing? obviously, ninjutsu will rise above.

  • ninjitsu ..well i train in japan ,,,was never impresent with the arts of the NINJAs ..I PREFER PRACTICAL AND SYMBOL TO LEARN ...ninjas hmmmm

  • ok, well lets see. ninjUtsu (get it right) is pretty much the epitamy of practical martial arts. they dont even teach you things for tournament. it literally is nothing but practical implications. if you train in japan, surely you should have known that. why do you the spetsnaz (most elite military group on the planet) goes out of their way to specifically learn ninjutsu and systema

  • the spet/black8 etc dont study arts other than systema and work on C.Q.C..modern comabtives for C.Q.C include elements of jiu jitsu ,military ju jitsu ,thai boxing for sparring, weapons for cqc ..no joke no such thing as ninjas in any military training system , i research and train in the above for NATO/U.N as a consultant ..but i respect all arts and respect art preservation .nice guy hatsumi ...good luck to him

  • I study military muay and bunjinkan budo taijitsu. I wouldnt say ninpo rises above muay in killing. They muay and ninjitsu are both complete fighting systems designed during periods of warefare to be extremely effective against enemies. I'd say by comparison, where ninjitsu loses in conditioning and ferocity, it makes up for in agility and effort. But by combining the two I find my better techniques are even more effective and easier to perform.

  • yea, i certainly rise above because i take both togakure ryu ninjutsu and muay thai but muay thai is more if you want to beat your opponent down to the point of incapacitation. im not sure what they teach you in your taijitsu bujinkan but in my togakure ryu dojo i learn a a lot of instant incapacitation/kill. its really just how you want to handle the opponent which decides what you should use.

  • I learn incapacitation also but you have to remember, because muay was designed on the battlefield it has incapacitation/kill also. The stuff you see in the ring, and what you would learn in most gyms is watered down. The reason why you rarely see muay thai throws are because they are all lethal attacks and somewhere along our history, it became distasteful to resort to them to defeat an opponent if other safer methods could be used. Even Toshitsugu Takamatsu ended paticipation in mortal combat

  • Im curious to know who teaches you Togakure Ryu. The last listed soke for that style is masaaki hatsumi, the head of the bunjikan budo taijitsu in japan. Im taught by a 4th dan instructor. I had thought togakure had been absorbed into our organization a long time ago as Toshitsugu Takamatsu and Masaaki Hatsumi are the only two people known to have mastered all nine original ninjutsu forms schools. The Togakure ryu Ninjutsu Hidensho is in Hatsumi sensei's possession as well.

  • i attend the bujinkan in cleveland but i have attended many seminars for higher leveled practitioners taught by Masaaki Hatsumi. They are oriented toward certain styles but the mojority of the ones I attend are togakure ryu oriented

  • im impressed you can afford to attend seminars with Hatsumi-sensei in Japan. Especially if the age on your profile is correct. I know of 2 togakure ryu specialist within the bunjinkan dojo there.

  • I can't afford them :P I usually try to raise money but for a few of them I had relatives all chip in to help. And for that sentence I meant to say 'some' taught by Masaaki Hatsumi, others are around Toronto area usually. Theyre much cheaper. Some in the NY area

  • oops, when I said "there" at the end, I meant in cleveland.

  • I know there was a place online where I could've have bought this dvd, or one like it, but I can't remember where that was. Anyways, if somebody finds it, could you point me in it's direction?

  • allright, now i can go kick my neighborhood bullies.i noe how to do knee strikes now

  • This is what Muay Thai's all about.

  • This video is sweet!

  • good teks but very specific

  • very best film...pos more film please !
