Elvis Presley recorded this version 2 times. One for the movie "Live A Little Love A Little" and one for the '68 Special. The 2002 remix version came from the '68 special version. If you would notice, Elvis's voice in the remix was on reverb effect and he also went an octave higher at the middle of the song. If you guys wanna hear the '68 special version, check out my channel!
@johnjturner1 I don't know why I wrote that about this clip, it's obviously not Ann-Margret! I must have been watching another clip right before and somehow confused the two. That's what thinking about A-M does to me, lol. Thanks for pointing it out to me!
@johnjturner1 wow really that is great ......... ah the good ol days eh ...... of lp's and real music i feel sorry for the kids of today they don't know what good music is .less they heard the folks listening to it .....shit i sound like my dad .lol and now that i am older i even like the stuff he listened to when i was a kid .......
Actually, this was the original single version, with a bass starting and Elvis shouting Hey at the beginning. You don't hear that in the movie version.
I'm in a musical, and we will sing this song, AND dance til. Don't know how that's going, cuz the dance is very fast, and sing to that? messed up! HAHA
@Saunga525 Yes, but you've got in the wrong order. Johnny Bravo is a parody of Elvis, if you will. Johnny is always trying to be the super cool guy that Elvis actually was, using the same tactics. Like speaking like him and wearing a similar hairstyle.
Wish more men were as passionate about women as Elvis was. I was only ten and a half years old when Elvis passed away but I still love him and miss him. One of my favorite lines from the film, "Live a Little, Love a Little" is when Elvis says,"I hate it when a woman walks out in the middle of an argument." lol
@roadyrider is that just a random comment ? its not Ann Margaret in this video, its Michelle Carey, Elvis's Co star in Liva A Little,Love A Little" Which is where this song comes from.
@cameltrail Thats strange! I watched the video and it's not the one I was watching when I posted the comment. It's obviously Michelle Carey in this video and not Ann Margaret! Oh well, they're both HOT!
when I was young I though my grandpa was secretly elvis because not only was he born on the same day man do they look alike but while he may look like him my grandpa can neither sing nor perform like the king
@fatpizzaman. thats not true. im now 15(almost 16 =) but ive always liked rock n roll, the beatles, the rolling stones, elvis presley etc. and now i often listen to black joe lewis and the honeybears. many, but not all those kids listen to that hiphop crap. so dont put everyone in the same group like many people in this world do. i hope youll understand. awesome song btw!
@mptrax at least JXL brought Elvis to a younger generation who otherwise wouldn't have given a toss about him. I like the original and remix of this song alike. :)
Elvis The Great -- The great man gave away half of his fortune. GAVE AWAY HALF OF HIS GREAT FORTUNE - to some people he didn't even know. Now.... let me ask you something.... do you know of any other great entertainer who's been so generous? Huh? You tell me ! ! Elvis -- greatest entertainer in the History Of Man. A thousand Elvis Tribute Artists sing his music in 50 countries. His museum home makes 35 million dollars a year. His museum home is a Mecca for fans from the world over.
Actually the remix is better in this case. It rarely goes that way, but Elvis just has better voice than he has a band or musical sense. This is lacking in instruments and bass.
I hate the remix version.. just something about fake drums and bass that just kills everything that's fun about music. that's why I mostly listen to metal now on days. it's either metal or hip hop & pop, and I hate everything non-instrumental.
Just don't listen to the remixes, then. They are made for people who like them- the others can just stick to the originals if it suits them better... not the other way around. Everyone wins.
no way mrchaplin5.....I'm like ridiculously jealous of ur uncle right now hahaha. That's so sick though! He's one lucky man to be see the king live though.....aw man :( i wish elvis was still alive...
Written by Billy Strange and Mac Davis for Elviss 1968 film Live a Little, Love a Little. It was recorded March 7, 1968 at Western Recorders. It had a 4-week stay on Billboards Hot 100 chart, reaching #69. The original release was the A-side to Almost in Love and was released on the Almost in Love LP. I totally prefer this version over the remixed version from 2002. I've always been such a huge fan of this song and I'm so very happy that it's a very popular Elvis song nowadays. As you know, this was never a popular song during Elvis' lifetime. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie. Elvis forever.
