  • the dress was soo stunningly elegant. great job on the dress and beautiful pictures. Would have been a wedding i would have enjoyed going to myself.

  • I pretty much bound every seam until I ran out of the bias seam tape I had made. I had quite a bit, so I think I did the sleeve seam, as well. The lining and the underlining were both very slippery fabrics that also frayed easily at the edges. I wanted to keep those edges protected from scraping movements to prevent their fraying down to the stitching; thus, I encased them. I worked on the dress for at least two months, morning, noon and night, non-stop.

  • it is beautiful! i somehow missed, do you bind the seam allowance where the sleeve is inserted too? Also, how long do you think this took you, hours wise? Thanks!
