All of those crushed cars should've been used to make a next generation of American tank built cars like the old days, not like the stylish crap people have their eyes on these days.
My full size Oldsmobile station wagon got totalled and when I couldn't find another one I went looking for a Caprice or a Delta88 (old box style) and when I couldn't find one of those in good shape on short notice I "settled" for a Town Car just like the spray painted "clunker" in your video. Good job keeping that classic on the road!
Even a bottom of the line Lincoln Town Car from the early 90's is a better ride than the best Hyundai or KIA. I would either drive the Town Car less or still keep the Town car and get a cheap used econobox for every day abuse. Hell I would rather keep the Town Car and buy a motor cycle than trade in a car like that for Cash For Cash for clunkers!
Don't forget young man, we are living in era of liberl tree-huggers, with their fucking Toyota Prius, eco-friendly items, and cheap glue that won't even bond well because its "enviromentally-friendly" I bet you your Caprice will smoke my 91 Corolla.
I hope you still have that Caprice LS, those are rare gems in today's market. In fact I gave up my choice of buying a 2011 Silverado LTZ for a 1977 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 4 door sedan with almost every bells and whistles. Because finding a 77 Caprice is like needle in a haystack, I realized that Chevy Silverados are like kittens, they're all over the market and the road, so waiting a few years before buying a Silverado is fine with me. I don't have the caprice yet, but I will
Another ripoff by our government...and these cars have to be running so another company can run a chemical through the engine and permanently disable it.
I rather have a old car that is big with plenty of Backseat legrooms than to have a flastic small car with no backseat legroom and no confort at all. pariently newer cars like the Honda Hybrid are not as confortable as older cars like the LTD Crown Vict. the LTD has Iron block V8 Engine wile the newer compact has alluminum block engine.
thats right man i have never own or drivin a new car i have a 1986 caprice and have a few more classic cars but ur right classic last for a long long time and i dont support the cas for clunkers
Cash for clunkers program stunk. Those who would destroy a well built full or mid size rear wheel drive American car disgust me. It is amazing the power of commercials to influence people to trade in better built older cars year after year, for new inferior car's that shows how easily people are deceived by the ad industry.
I agree, Cash for Clunkers program is a scam/garbage in the long run. I may get a 1988 Caprice in a few weeks. I've driven almost every car, and that car is still my favorite. Adequate gas mileage, power, comfort, size, nice ride, and safety all in one for cheap! And reliable and easy to fix any problems, which there aren't many. I have never experienced a car that takes bumps in the road better than a Caprice. Way better than Cadillac. :-)
a new subscriber it pisses me off that they are conning people into buying trash they will have to replace in less than ten years. becuase thats what these new cars are made to do made to breakdown in less than ten years an you have to buy a new one forget that i will drive my olds until hell freezes over i dont care if they offer me 20 grand i will not stop drivin my tank i love that car anyway sorry for my rant but never give up your caprices man they can shuve there new cars up there ashes
subscribed for this vid i hated cash for clunkers i own a 1984 oldsmobile 98 regency brougham and i will NEVER trade it in for a pos honda or kia or none of that garbage im purly oldschool i hate these new tinbox garbage mobiles yeah i may be spewing more pollution in the air than those fancy new cars but o well you are 100 percent correct they dont make cars like they use to anymore its all about hybrid or gas saving guess what my olds has a v8 307 an she is really good on gas. so homes ya got
Man, I TOTALLY agree with you. I work security at an electric company and this guy there is about to sell me a Caprice Classic 2 door for $200 just to get rid of it. He says it's an 86. Others there told me it runs like new, he got it for his brother but his bro ended up in jail and it's been sitting there for 5 years. I can't WAIT to get it and fix it up. They can have that cash for clunkers crap, I'm 43 and prefer older cars. Thanks for the vid
Reminds me of a 1993 Chevy Silverado I saw for sale during cash for clunkers. It was owned by a older guy, garage kept with not a scratch, and only had 75,000 orininal miles. I test drove it, and it ran so smooth, that you couldn't even feel it run, and the A/C still blew ice cold. The 4 sale sign said if it didn't sell that week, cash for clunkers was getting it. Luckly someone at work wanted a truck, so I showed it to them, and they immediatly bought it. They are still driving it to this day.
fuckkkkkkkkkkk most hurting sad thing anyone can do to a perfectly running good car that could of been flipped for cash older vehicles are saferrrrrrrrrrr nice video bud your right cash for clunkers is fucking gayyyyyyyyyy
I agree its a shame the last of these american made heavy chevys are being crushed these cars are the last of there breed we need to restore not crush
14MPG CITY AND 27MPG ON A RUN? BEAT THAT !!! My dad ( in LONDON ) has a FORD FIESTA 1.4TDCi thats a turbo diesel, he gets 65mpg city and 82mpg on the highway, NOW THATS ECONOMY DUDE!!, and it can sit at 90mph all day long at 3200 rpm, thats progress!! thats from a 1400cc diesel, 1100kgs, 65bhp !! We pay 7bucks a gallon here, so we NEED economy!
@mainman2999 You're comparing apples and oranges buddy. I have a heavy American car with a V8 and you have a tiny little car with a 4 cyl diesel. Nice try on bustin a cap on me but try harder next time bud!
@88BroughamLS True, true, having a bud, having a bud! we are actually paying $8 a gallon here, its $1.90 a litre, and we have 4.5 litres in one of our 'proper gallons' ! where abouts was the video filmed? i could feel the heat coming from my pc! it looks kind of Texas but im guessing west coast? I spent two months driving from San Fran down to san Diego then across to Virginia and up to maine, how I wish I could do another hoilday stateside! I drive a 1971 Ford in the Uk by the way!!
@mainman2999 -- your dad is cheap thats why he looks at economy... you dont buy a caprice for economy purposes, it all about pleasure of owning oldschool caprice. i live in uk too and my brother owns a V8... your dad is fuckin cheap skate...
@moneyshop16 thanks for that MINGESHOP, my dad is 82 years old and doesnt want to race around anymore, in his day he had Lotus Cortina's, a Jeff Uren Savage 3.1 Cortina, A full house Twincam Escort and several yanks including a 67 RS camaro 327, and any of the above would have blown away whatever your brother has, so shut the .... up, oh by the way, I now own his old Escort RS1600 which he bought new in 1971, you can watch the video ,its on here if you need more education.
youre dead right. I have a 1987 Caprice 2-door Landau. i bought it in 2005. My first car. 300 bucks. 5 years later im still driving it, restoring it, taking care of it, and it runs great. its biggest problem, i need new shocks. figure i get good ones and spend about 300 bucks and itll ride like new. for the 4500 they were offering, i was able to rebuild my .350, replace my exhaust, (true dual with flowmasters) and re-do the interior. aside from the shocks, the car drives like new.
yeah, the Caprice might be bad on gas but atleast you won't go broke making payments and replacing timing belts, CV axles, and paying some guy $60 to scan it when the check engine light comes on
yea you have a beautiful Caprice! we used to have one of those! my opinion is the same as yours people are trading in their american cars that could last a lot longer for base model japanease crap cars! WHY???
You scared the shit out of me there for awhile! I love your beautiful Chevrolet Caprice! Cash for clunkers was one of the WORST things this country could've done. I have a 1977 Cadillac DeVille. A sister car to the Caprice Body style...Caprice 1977-1990....Cadillac Big Body...1977-1992. Is your car's engine a 305 Chevy or 307 Olds motor?
people have been brainwashed, I would never junk my cars! I've got a 69 Cadillac sedan deville and I would never sell it...gas could be 10 bucks a gallon, wont sell it. I've got a 66 mustang never sell it, old cars appreciate in value and are not that expensive to maintain. My aunt had to but a grand into her 03-04 malibu and it doesn't even have 80,000 miles and it still makes a noise My Cadillac has 80,000 and yeah the paints a little faded and ac doesn't work but its been around 40 yrs
the kio rio joke was actually really funny... I did cash for clunkers, i traded in my old 99 Jeep Cherokee Laredo(fully loaded), V8 gas guzzling beast with 246,000 miles for a brand new 2009 corolla. The Jeep was valued $2000 on KBB, and I got $4500 for it. It was the best decision i ever made, i had just started a new job where i have to drive 80 miles roundtrip everyday, i can't tell you how much money i've saved
You know what really makes me sick? The fact that in order to qualify for the program, the car must run. WHY!?!?! Why the hell would it need to run if they're gonna scrap it anyways? Boy, our government just keeps getting better and better! :F I suppose next they're gonna pay you $25 to sell your current house for some crappy 2x3 "eco-igloo" or whatever.
@guildrich because the goal is to get gas guzzling cars off the road and cut down pollution( dont really care about that by the way i love my big american v-8) but if its not running then there is no point cuz it wont be causing air pollution moron
@guildrich The whole point is to get fuel inefficient cars off the road. Why would they pay somebody 4500 for a car that doesn't work in the first place?
if you actually traded in that 88 caprice then the phrase would have to be changed to like " a classic for a brand new clunker" :D i personally would much rather take some money and invest it in that classic ride. greets from germany.
yeah i agree with u 100%. if i had to choose between an old school car vs a brand new one, id take the old car without a doubt or second thought. these new cars that are being built ar pieces of crap, 95% fiberglass plastic toys. its funny that more car accidents resulting in death are with newer cars than the old ones. i feel allot safer in a car built in the late 60s to 1990s my favorite car of all time is the box chevys and a few of the early 60s models.
thank god it's over. i'm gonna buy an old u haul truck in celebration. if you run a cash for clunkers program, cut the vehicles in half then tie them back together with 2x4s and bailing wire. they can't be resold that way.
I have a 1991 Ford F-150, and its a gas-guzzling machine with nothing going for it except for 4X4... sure its got room for 6, but the back 3 will be crushed, its got a 5L V8, but thats only putting out the equivalent of a standard low-powered HONDA. Even so did i C4C it? Hell no. Would i if i had the money? No way. Why? Because even though its slow (0-60 in 23 seconds), fairly ugly, and gets 8MPG, its still a good working truck. I'd rather sell it to someone who needs it - someone WITHOUT a car.
oh i should have watched whole thing before i commented, jeez ur a convincing liar,it was pretty funny, juding from the inside ur caprice the cars in good condition and u look after it well.the 88 caprice is a nice looking car and i would rather have yours than a civic.good video look after that 88 of yours
Hey, after watching your video and being a fellow caprice owner I couldn't agree with you more so. I've put $3000 into my 93 caprice and she runs like new, I spent $3,750 on her so the way i see it I'm putting money into a car that will only keep on running longer and longer. These old boats just don't stop, its hard to kill a caprice. I wanna see more of the old box and bubble caprices on the road. don't get rid of your car, just keep er runnin and take care of her.
Yo nice caprice bro good to see a young guy ridin high in the bow tie. I got a 93 caprice LTZ with a 350CI, and she's in near mint condition, taken very good care of. Nothing like getting behind the wheel of your caprice and going for a nice cruise.
A man after my own heart. I sold my 88 Chrysler Fifth Ave with the express instruction that it not be used for CFC. My buddy's dad is fixing it up. I've got my eyes on a 86 Caprice Wagon. If I can scoop it up, maybe I'll post a video. I have not and will never own a new car because 99.8% of them are CRAP.
damn bro i thought you was serious about trading your 88 caprice for a crapy ass kia rio, man that was a good joke, i mean who wants one of those shitty ass hyundai or kia or handas, no offenes to those that drive e'm, thats a big relief to find out that was a joke bro, nice car tho im about to get one my self in a couple weeks, a caprice that is, but nice box bro
man i drive a 1989 caprice classic and i would die before i give it up, but truthfully i have a lot of work to do to mine and sometimes i get fed up with finding new shit to fix but its my baby and i LOVE HER
Love to see WASH ME on the back windshield. Anyways dude great sound in ur caprice. Never CfC this car dude.
To all old car users if you wanto get rid of the old car because u dont like the hobby anymore sell them to exporters that export these caprices, chevelles, chargers to europe we want these cars and we dont like to see cars fuckt up in usa for CfC.
A good riding caprice = around 5000 euro.s a almost new caprice = 8000 euros.
i hear you. i love the old car and this had to of been the worst decision in history. i actually have a 1987 caprice classic and i love the thing to death. i could never get rid of it. to much sentimental value to me. those cars were the end of a generation and should be kept. only good that did come out of it is that most of these cars become classics faster and are worth more now. but i still dont support this program.
I have a 1978 cadillac deville and it will stay on the road for as long as i live, and besides why the f*ck would anyone want to trade style and comfort present in older american cars for something that gives you poor throtle response and blisters on your ass
not to mention the evident fact that the production of a new car that wont last anywhere near as long is more damaging to the environment than driving your reliable old car, this is the key fact that is just ignored by the majority and it really really pisses me off.
Look man i have to say this, there should be more people like you man, you have a voice of reason and i completely concur with you i completely despise Obamas cash for clunkers program aswell while i still respect the president this is outrageous. To see so many beautiful cars like yours just wasted breaks my heart
I thought u were going to go with the c4c and trade your car in, thank god u didn't that was a cruel joke, the 88 Caprice Brougham is one hell of a work horse. you made me nervous lol!
omg i about had a heart attack. very good though, just fix that headliner up and you got a mint box bowtie with a 350 thats ready to do whatever you want it to do for well into 6 digits more miles. but the car and the motor you have going for you regardless of what you do with the headliner.
I just don't like they make these new cars. Everything is to save save save and really..... quanity vs quality has suffered unless you pay over 60,000
Al Gore has caused this crap. I remember in the 80s when he was trying to make it illegal to even own the pre 75s without the cat converters. I was restoring a 69 Mustang at the time and had already put a lot of money into it. Can't tell you what anger I felt, and I feel that same anger today!
Great video and wise decision mah boi! your bourgham will outlive any new rio yaris civic....whatever i rather pay gas than pay an overpriced eggshaped plastic deathtrap i will keep my 94 trans am so the future generations know what the f-body was!
This video is in my top 5 of the best videos i ever seen on u tube, im thinkin too myself how could a dude that look like u have so much passion for 80's box chevys.....my favorite car is a 88-89 caprice classic LS brougham short top but now i drive a 1985 buick lesabre-collectors edition i had it sense 2006 and been drivin with a bad carborater and it still drives quite and strong
Damn i jus take my video of myself and my car off my page yesterday, i still dont know how to post videos on youtube usin this digital cam but i will show u soon when my cousin comes over i jus been lazy, o and the issues im havin with my carborater is that i have to always ease slowly on the pedal so the gas can rise to the carb, in other words it looses power when i accell, and u can smell a lil gas when in and out of the car, and it will cost fuckin $800 for a new carb, TAX TIME is comin:)
This is "Planned Obsellence" at it's worst form. They don't even use the cars as a source for their perfectly useable parts. The government should realize that this is an incredible waste of our valuable natural resources that are not renewable!! I feel as sick about this as you do. I will be subscribing. Thanks. Sincerely,d JAMES.
i wouldn't dream of getting rid of a car like that. i love the caprice series. your right those jap cars wouldn't last anywhere near as long. my chev has a rod knock but still starts right up and runs great. gonna get mine fixed in january. long live the old caprice, road legends.
i drive a 1988 chevrolet s10 pickup for work. it has the 2.5 liter l4 with 200300 miles i hot rod the shit out of it.. the oil aint been changed in 30,000 miles daily driver and it just keeps right on going original engine and tranny... that just proves 2 things chevies dont break and quaker state never quits working.. find me a japscrap car that can do this my buddy beat the shit out of his kia. he got it at 93000 miles and it dies at 104000 fuck jap scrap bye american chevy that is...haha
A customer of mine who I do lawn care for clunked a 1996 Impala SS for a 2009 Impala SS. The guy has a waterfront house, which is 3 stories and he has Jags, BMWs, Escalades, so I know he really didn't need the rebate, but he took it anyway and clunked the 1996 Impala SS.
please tell me this isn´t true.. The guy you are talking about has so many cars and still doesn´t know shit about them. How can anyone be this stupid and destroying one of last real Impala SS for a pathetic japanese-looking frontwheeldrive shitbox??
i would never get rid of that car! People are blaming Obama for the cash for clunkers but remember it was going on B4 him! But its nothing but car corps trying to make money that they are losing cuz they sell over prices JUNK that wont last half as long as THAT can HAS! Rock it till it dies
Cash for clunkers is the most idiotic program ever. Keep driving that Caprice forever, not only is it wiser in the way of comfort, reliability and style but also environmentally compared to those thrwaway every three years econoboxes. Our biggest fear is a big government.
The Gvt. does not care about the environment, they care about money. They do whatever they can do make money and people are buying into this whole "let's save gas" thing and all it's doing is actually if you sit down and really think about it, it's wasting them money. Not saying getting a new car is a bad idea. I want to get a new car one day, but the idea behind these people getting a new car is absolutely insane!
Excactly 88BLS. It is all about power and money. It is just easy to sell new taxes to people when fear of natural catastrophes is used as a threat. The fact is that of so called greenhouse gasses only 0.28% are man made and much less from cars. What makes it all worse is that the climate change is due to change in solar activity. we can not prevent that and instead of preparing for it we waste our resources in "preventing" it. In the process the western world is pushed to 3rd world status.
Well u know man, I just gotta say something about the Kia that you mentioned. Any car is a good car as long as you keep it up!! I drove the hell out of my grandma's kia and that thing is about 12yrs old and still kicking! I've owned plenty of chevy's and the plastic intake manifolds suck so Chevy's aren't all of that!! But they are built to last if u take care of them like any vehicle!!
I notice everybody keeps saying that I dogged the Kia, name once that I said anything like that. It's just not my style and I never said anything about Chevy's being all that. My Chevy does not have a plastic intake manifold, maybe the new ones do, but not the old ones that I know of. But hey we are all entitled to our OPINIONS and there are facts too. You take bud!
i have 95 delta where the plastic intake went bad. antifreeze in engine. i own a intrigue and believe it has the same engine problem. my friend has a 1987 ford festiva with a kia engine that runs fantastic.. you know which engine i would choose!!!
@09lezzygirl The Festiva's were engineered by MAZDA and built by Kia with a MAZDA 1.3 L Engine. The engine is the same that is used overseas in the Mazda 121. They were imported to the US for the 1988-1993 model years so ya Kia isnt all that. I had a coworker who had a Kia that was newer like a 2004 & he drove it alot & was working on it EVERY month. while my 1988 Ford Festiva with a MAZDA engine runs with just putting gas in it
Ohhh You had me worried there for a second! Good choice young man! holding onto an American classic and not getting some cheap throw away import plastic! Amazing that a young guy like this has sooo much more sense than so many older sheeple who went for this sham of a program! I have a few of these box caprices- one with almost 300K on it, try that in any other car.
I guess the 91 Syclone and the 99 Mustang 35th edition that are sitting in my junkyard with the engines painted red are total pieces of shit. Hope whoever turned in those nice vehicles have their new car blow a tranny or engine.
A CYCLONE!?!?!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL!?!?!? They traded down is what they did!!!! They got something really stupid in replacement. That really angers me!!
So glad you were kidding about the kia! You have the right idea about the " cash for clunkers " crap. The govenment down here in australia was looking to do something similar. How is spending more money going to help you get out of debt?????

SERIES60productions: Fuck you! 88BroughamLS: Sorry for the cumdrop remark. I was trying to imply the 88 Brougham was the better of the American cars I bought, as well as a 79 Caprice I bought new. Chrysler products were definitely the worst of anything I owned over the last 33 years.
Your Language is as bad as your thinking ability. OH yeah..........i almost forgot, what more can be expected out of a pile of SH**!! your screen name sucks by the way, i dont like it. i dont know what it is, but maybe its just you.......anyways bye!

It's amazing how many of you dumbshits like to rag on Korean cars. 88BroughamLS was just a cumdrop when the Excel was around. Unless you have owned a Korean vehicle, your opinions hold about as much water as a thimble.
.....(cont) than I do of Hyundais? Because back in 80s and Hyundais were not made with quality. They're made a little better now than then, but for you to say that is absolutely funny. So what you're saying, is since I'm such a baby, I never drove a Korean vehicle and my opinion doesn't count right? Since members of my family had them my opinion doesn't count. I never ragged on Korean cars. Don't put words in my mouth sonny. Check out my video responses and look a j45007s video and you'll see!
Also one more thing sonny, your 3.3L in your 08 Santa Fe is Fuel Injected and your cars weighs about half as much as a Caprice, so you are comparing apples and oranges. Don't put ignorant comments on my videos because I back my comments up with FACTS sonny.
ill help you with some more facts. my aunt has a 97 elantra with 178k mi on it. its 2nd trans is about to take a dump, it leaks oil like a whore, has a hole in the radiator, and everytime i turn around she has the hood up putting stop leak in something that holds fluid. hyundais from back then are the biggest pieces of junk in existence. cars like that are what need to be scrapped, not something in mint condition that gets bad gas mileage but has nothing else wrong.
This kid may have been a cum drop when the excel WAS around, BUT YOU were just a drop of someones diarrhea.....and you STILL ARE!! It seems like you are promoting korean cars, and if you are then where are all these wonderful excels? Well they are in the same place as your mentality..............IN A PILE OF SHIT!! AND thats all i see coming out of your mouth too. HOW FUNNY.........shit coming out of shit AND driving shit......now that would be a GOOD video!!!!!!
My Hyundais are far better than the !988 Caprice Brougham that I had bought new. The paint on that thing was shot within two years. The MPG's were decent though.

All of those crushed cars should've been used to make a next generation of American tank built cars like the old days, not like the stylish crap people have their eyes on these days.

Cash for clunkers program stunk. Those who would destroy a well built full or mid size rear wheel drive American car disgust me. It is amazing the power of commercials to influence people to trade in better built older cars year after year, for new inferior car's that shows how easily people are deceived by the ad industry.
jobejonah78 1 year ago
I agree, Cash for Clunkers program is a scam/garbage in the long run. I may get a 1988 Caprice in a few weeks. I've driven almost every car, and that car is still my favorite. Adequate gas mileage, power, comfort, size, nice ride, and safety all in one for cheap! And reliable and easy to fix any problems, which there aren't many. I have never experienced a car that takes bumps in the road better than a Caprice. Way better than Cadillac. :-)

300 bucks. 5 years later im still driving it, restoring it, taking care of it, and it runs great. its biggest problem, i need new shocks. figure i get good ones and spend about 300 bucks and itll ride like new. for the 4500 they were offering, i was able to rebuild my .350, replace my exhaust, (true dual with flowmasters) and re-do the interior. aside from the shocks, the car drives like new.

people have been brainwashed, I would never junk my cars!

@guildrich
the government is full of retards who don't have common sense and don't live in the real world
jumar1281 1 year ago
@guildrich because the goal is to get gas guzzling cars off the road and cut down pollution( dont really care about that by the way i love my big american v-8) but if its not running then there is no point cuz it wont be causing air pollution moron
cfl990 1 year ago
@guildrich The whole point is to get fuel inefficient cars off the road. Why would they pay somebody 4500 for a car that doesn't work in the first place?

yeah i agree with u 100%. if i had to choose between an old school car vs a brand new one, id take the old car without a doubt or second thought. these new cars that are being built ar pieces of crap, 95% fiberglass plastic toys. its funny that more car accidents resulting in death are with newer cars than the old ones. i feel allot safer in a car built in the late 60s to 1990s my favorite car of all time is the box chevys and a few of the early 60s models.

Even so did i C4C it? Hell no. Would i if i had the money? No way. Why? Because even though its slow (0-60 in 23 seconds), fairly ugly, and gets 8MPG, its still a good working truck. I'd rather sell it to someone who needs it - someone WITHOUT a car.

twiztidsidfreak13 2 years ago
Cash for clunkers is the most idiotic program ever. Keep driving that Caprice forever, not only is it wiser in the way of comfort, reliability and style but also environmentally compared to those thrwaway every three years econoboxes. Our biggest fear is a big government.
ImForwardlook 2 years ago
The Gvt. does not care about the environment, they care about money.
88BroughamLS 2 years ago
Excactly 88BLS. It is all about power and money. It is just easy to sell new taxes to people when fear of natural catastrophes is used as a threat. The fact is that of so called greenhouse gasses only 0.28% are man made and much less from cars. What makes it all worse is that the climate change is due to change in solar activity. we can not prevent that and instead of preparing for it we waste our resources in "preventing" it. In the process the western world is pushed to 3rd world status.
ImForwardlook 2 years ago
Well u know man, I just gotta say something about the Kia that you mentioned. Any car is a good car as long as you keep it up!! I drove the hell out of my grandma's kia and that thing is about 12yrs old and still kicking! I've owned plenty of chevy's and the plastic intake manifolds suck so Chevy's aren't all of that!! But they are built to last if u take care of them like any vehicle!!
Martinwllmsbrg 2 years ago
I notice everybody keeps saying that I dogged the Kia, name once that I said anything like that. It's just not my style and I never said anything about Chevy's being all that. My Chevy does not have a plastic intake manifold, maybe the new ones do, but not the old ones that I know of. But hey we are all entitled to our OPINIONS and there are facts too. You take bud!
88BroughamLS 2 years ago
i have 95 delta where the plastic intake went bad. antifreeze in engine. i own a intrigue and believe it has the same engine problem. my friend has a 1987 ford festiva with a kia engine that runs fantastic.. you know which engine i would choose!!!
09lezzygirl 2 years ago
@09lezzygirl The Festiva's were engineered by MAZDA and built by Kia with a MAZDA 1.3 L Engine. The engine is the same that is used overseas in the Mazda 121. They were imported to the US for the 1988-1993 model years so ya Kia isnt all that. I had a coworker who had a Kia that was newer like a 2004 & he drove it alot & was working on it EVERY month. while my 1988 Ford Festiva with a MAZDA engine runs with just putting gas in it

That really angers me!!

i think there are even pictures of this exact syclone with clunker on it on the internet. one of the saddest sights ive ever seen in my life!
tipdrip215 2 years ago
So glad you were kidding about the kia! You have the right idea about the " cash for clunkers " crap. The govenment down here in australia was looking to do something similar. How is spending more money going to help you get out of debt?????
dragonpnut76 2 years ago
I don't really see how it helped the economy, with everybody going in debt.

SERIES60productions: Fuck you! 88BroughamLS: Sorry for the cumdrop remark. I was trying to imply the 88 Brougham was the better of the American cars I bought, as well as a 79 Caprice I bought new. Chrysler products were definitely the worst of anything I owned over the last 33 years.
gregnkaren02 2 years ago
Well Chrysler hasn't been good since 1981. Oh well.

It's amazing how many of you dumbshits like to rag on Korean cars. 88BroughamLS was just a cumdrop when the Excel was around. Unless you have owned a Korean vehicle, your opinions hold about as much water as a thimble.
gregnkaren02 2 years ago
.....(cont) than I do of Hyundais? Because back in 80s and Hyundais were not made with quality. They're made a little better now than then, but for you to say that is absolutely funny. So what you're saying, is since I'm such a baby, I never drove a Korean vehicle and my opinion doesn't count right? Since members of my family had them my opinion doesn't count. I never ragged on Korean cars. Don't put words in my mouth sonny. Check out my video responses and look a j45007s video and you'll see!
88BroughamLS 2 years ago
Also one more thing sonny, your 3.3L in your 08 Santa Fe is Fuel Injected and your cars weighs about half as much as a Caprice, so you are comparing apples and oranges. Don't put ignorant comments on my videos because I back my comments up with FACTS sonny.
88BroughamLS 2 years ago
ill help you with some more facts. my aunt has a 97 elantra with 178k mi on it. its 2nd trans is about to take a dump, it leaks oil like a whore, has a hole in the radiator, and everytime i turn around she has the hood up putting stop leak in something that holds fluid. hyundais from back then are the biggest pieces of junk in existence. cars like that are what need to be scrapped, not something in mint condition that gets bad gas mileage but has nothing else wrong.
