I really enjoyed this video and I agree it's not at all pretentious, it's from your heart! Very well done and thoughtful with the imagery you presented.
I was very much into U2 back in the 80's and saw them twice on the Rattle and Hum tour. Then in 2004 I bought the 'Rattle and Hum' dvd and was hooked again. I watched it countless times. Their performances of 'Bad', 'With or Without You', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' and 'Exit' were were some of the greatest moments in rock ever recorded.
Great video, I really enjoyed it. I don't think your interpretations are prententious, in fact I think it's a great compliment to the artist. I believe that once it's out there it belongs to us to iterpret how we will.
Thank you! I totally agree. Its sad when people are critical with one another over their interpretations, because everyone is an individual, and therefore everyone has a different slant on things!
That was so incredible period...Rattle and Hum...B.B. King, memories about Elvis Presley, gospel in New Orlean and so more...and more. And about your video:GREAT WORK.
I don't think your interpretations are at all pretentious they're special to you and I like that you share them as much as you share the song - it sorts the real fans from the casual listeners! Thank you for sharing.
Hey and thanks for mentioning me again! Great to know I help :D
Yes, i loved those pictures of Ali too, she looks quite ravishing! Your welcome for the mention, your the one who inspired me to start making the videos to begin with, i'm just following your lead! Thank you also for the subscription! I never really realised what it meant to be "subscribed" too, but since i apparently became the (96th) (hahahaha) most subscribed person in Ireland, its started to matter to me a bit more! But its not really about views or subscribers, its about enjoyment!
I know I got those little 'awards' too, if it's worth calling them that! They're totally meaningless to me! I was 30-something most viewed in the U.K the other day, now 60-something. I'll be even less tomorrow because I can't be bothered to make a vid today and I'm out tomorrow, so I'm leaving the next one til the wknd. It's cool to have people viewing my stuff though - especially if they inspire creativity, so I'm glad I started!
Beautiful selection of pictures you've used here again, this must have taken you a while. The ones of Ali were beautiful especially, I've not seen those ones of her before (2:15 is marvellous!). I don't actually know this song as well as a lot of U2 ones because I don't listen to R&H much - but I remember now how I liked this one when I first heard it.
Hey this vid was so good, I loved the pictures you used!! do you know how long it's been since I've listened to that song? wow..LONG time..I get stuck in 'U2 decades' I suppose! Lately I've been into all of the 90's stuff really heavy. especially 'ultraviolet'..I never can seem to get enough of that song...
Thanks for the 'shout out' at the end...it was a surprise and so lovely of you to do! I'm very happy we are YT friends ;)
Your welcome, as i said to Red Jaguar, i keep meeting very sincere, very human people on here and they deserve to be recognised, you included. I apologise for accidently omitting the "O" from your name...i'll correct it next time round! Yes, that song is gorgeous, one of The Edge's most haunting riffs i think!
Thank you! Its not entirely U2 based, but i wanted to give an expression of the vast, lonely expanse of the desert and compare it to the same expanse of seperation when those we love are far away from us!
Nicely done!
Thanks for sharing!!
