the Ulster Nation flag also has the cross of St Patrick on it, it merges st Patrick's cross with the cross of St Andrew just thought I'd throw that in there as you didn't mention it. The spannish flag to me looks abit more like the cross of st Patrick but I don't know alot about spanish history so I could be wrong? Good to see the Ulster-Dixie link being kept alive keep it up
there is a question here for redshirtarmy..........now someone told me that the lowland scots were in fact anglo saxon not celtic......ive done a bit of reading up and apparently he's right......they spoke a germanic language llalans or scots......and ulster scots are also made up of northern english.......so thier not really celtic.......yet you scotch IRISH.......seem to take the celtic side why is this
@TheTwollocks I much prefer the term "Ulster-Scot" - it's more accurate than "Scots-Irish." The Low Land Scots were a mix of Scottish and English people. They did speak a Germanic language but so too do most Irish, Welsh and Scots today. That doesn't mean they are Germanic. My own family is part German and part Ulster-Sctos. I'm not anti-Germanic. Most Southerners are at least partially Celtic in background though. And our culture tends to be "Celtic" in many respects.
@TheTwollocks It's a myth that Scots & Irish are primarily a Celtic race. Nor is it true that English are primarily Anglo-Saxon in race. People of the British Isles (Britain & Ireland) are overwhelmingly of the same race that can be traced back 10,000 years to these islands' first settlers after the Ice Age when peoples from modern day Spain migrated to Britain and from there onto Ireland. They adopted others cultures over the centuries but genetically they have changed only a little since.
Hey mate, yes, it is correct, this flag was used by the Carlistas, but this is the Spanish Empire Flag, which were used by the best infantry in the world during the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, the Spanish infantry. Later it was the war flag of the Spanis army until the end of XIX century. Even more, you can fin this flag is on the fortresses of Puerto Rico.
Bring it you English Cunts...you have nothing to bring...Scotland is the last ofmthe undefeated people.....nobody has defeated Scotland...Nobody and no-one, unlike England
WEngland has been defeated byt the Normans..the Saxons...The Anglos...Ecet ..ECt.. the English are a raped people...NOBODY and i do mean NOBODY has managed to defeat the Scottish people
You are a very confused person. Scotland was invaded by the Irish Scotia(where you get your name) the picts and the vikings.
Whereas the English WHO ARE Anglo-Saxons cant have invaded themselves but they did invade the celtic people who were in the palce England before they came.
You my friend need to read some REAL history books, For a start the Scotia people you speak of only managed to invade the west coast of Scotland..a small part of the west coast,, a small amount of land about 80 miles in diameter, that only lasted for a few years before kenneth macalpin united the Scottish people and wrecked their shit...so to speak, Just because the name bears a resemblance does not mean they had anything to do with the history of Scotland,... stop reading wiki
I dont read Wiki. There has only been one invasion of England which was the Norman invasion. Whereas the Picts did invade Scotland too. So that evens that out.
@HarryGodwinsson how did the picts invade scotland?????? it was called pictland, filled with picts before the gaels came and merged with the picts forming alba. how can the picts invade a country that wasnt called scotland yet??? they were the original habitatns of scotland, it was called pictland. are you fucking stupid or just ignorant????????????????????????????????
Finally somebody has noticed. No, I'm not ignorant but seen as you asked. Your Jockish friend said that the Angles and Saxons invaded England when England didnt exist until they called it that.
How can the English invade the English? A bit like what I said about the Picts but then Im the fucking stupid one apparently????
Wow, , this will be the last message i write here because i do not want to take up any more of this lads channel, and it is clear to me that you have no idea what-so-ever as to what you are talking about.
THE PICTS ARE SCOTTISH..THE SCOTTISH ARE PICTS, how can they invade their own land, you uneducated pleb.
As for England, the peoples of the land known as England have been defeated by, the Romans, Vikings, Saxons,Normans, Anglos, Dutch, the Anglo-Saxons and many more.
THE ENGLISH ARE ANGLO-SAXONS THE ANGLO-SAXONS ARE ENGLISH you uneducated pleb??? Romans and vikings invaded before the English arrived and the Normans now run this whole country....
Read my comment again, "the peoples of the land known as England"
If you are happy to admit that you English are a mutt race who only came into being when the Normans took over( and even then the rich nobles and royals all spoke French) with no real history, then i commend you for that. It is a shame that so many of you believe in disney like fairy tales with England as some land with a rich history, England has no history that they should be proud of.
@Jinky1888 you dont even know your own history or you just like to look at the parts you like. england ruled scotland for hundreds of years before the UK was formed
Is it me?, am i living in an alternative univierse here?... THE RED HAND OF ULSTER WAS BORN BY AN IMPERIALIST SOLDIER CHOPPING OFF HIS HAND TO SO HE COULD THROW IT INTO NI BEFORE ANYONE ELSE COULD LAND THERE. this is something that most children are told in school,, why is this strange to you poeple?
@Malcmcm Yes, i do know why, but lest i turn this chaps video into a Scotland V England debate,,, can you refute my version of the hand hand and how it came to be?..NO you can not, so whatever anti- Scottish comments you are about to make the history of the red hand of Ulster still stands....
@Jinky1888 We have a lot of ties to Scotland. And I chose the Ulster nationalist flag (which is not imperialist, the people who use it favour self-determination) partly because it incorporates the Scottish flag. But the main reason I did the video on these three flags is because I was given them all by patriots and wanted to spotlight them.
@RedShirtArmy I just want to say,, you seem like a nice guy, and i am sorry if any of my comments come across antagonistic towards you, but still my points about the red hand still stand. It is one of the most imperialistic symbols used here in the UK and Ireland
@Jinky1888 I did remove comments with cursing in them. I don't see why we can't keep the language clean. There's no reason to be crude. I invite discussion but would prefer to keep the filthy language out.

you'll also notice the star of David, that is not bcoz of the occupied 6 counties. But it is bcoz the ulster scots have long founding links with freemasonry and todays illuminati.
They have the orange order, which readily displays the zionist star of david and freemason symbols on its 'Lodge' halls. These ppl are illuminati, and we all know what they stand for - control, not decentralisation
I am no new ageist. Have you seen an Orange Lodge hall. Freemasons do exist, and in the upper tiers they do practice the occult, you would be very naive to think otherwise. Having researched this well, it is the only conclusion I can come to., nothing hocus pocus about it, there are facts concerning the state of the world today and just who is in control of it.
@CeltzKrieg then look at similar organisations across the world and the secret societies they have in your own country, skull & bones at Yale for equally occultish organizations. You could even say the catholic church has masonic elements and its documented a pople toasted the devil on the high alter of Christ at the Vatican. Look to any organization government and you'll see the same. Nothing special about the Orange Lodge or Free Masons the latter having more members who are Catholic.
"in my own country" - Of course, there are many bloody freemasons here too. There is even a freemason hall across the road from our parliament. Ireland was a colony of Britain which has a strong freemason infiltration, and as such I am coming to the realisation they used Ireland for many of their playground and experimental theories and social engineering projects.
You may have heard of the hellfire club, complete occultist assholes. Ireland is not free of their influence.

The Vatican seems to have lost its way. There are many Catholics now, myself as one, who are concerned at the way the Church has gone, there are many who accuse the Freemasons of having infiltrated it, and even if not, that the Vatican has and is under evil sway.
Just look at the fruits of its decisions, passing paedophiles from parish to parish. Real Catholics, condemn the modern Vatican, know that Christ had said that even His church would from time to time come under evil dominion
@seonidh what that the scottish flag is the oldest saltire and stretches back in legend to the 9th century and in documented records from the 12th century? The saltire of scotland is a very old flag
Ulster is 9 counties NOT 6. The people who want that OccupiedSixCounties flag are ppl whose ancestors stole Ulster from the original Celtic Irish whose land it had been for millenia.
The Ulster ppl you speak of, are not Ulster ppl, they are descendants of angles, saxons and vikings from northern england and lowland scotland. The Irish were kicked off their land and it was planted with these ppl who then called themselves scots and Irish.
I really liked your video. Im from Northern Ireland and hopefully will visit Dixi some day to see our fellow Ulster-Scots or Scots-Irish as you call them in the states.
@rhfyr91 I realise that some folks in that group used the flag. Some folks who committ violence or terrorism use the Irish flag or the UK flag or the US flag. It can't be helped. However, the group I talked with in Belfast was non-violent and very friendly. And the flag itself is beauitful and highly symbolic. If we were to get rid of every flag just because of the way some group used it, we'd be left with none in the end.
actually it's a saint patricks cross, also the flag was never used by the UVF as it's a flag that was produced as an independent Ulster Flag, Free from Ireland and the United Kingdom.
@cyberprod1690 Well really it's both the St Patricks and the St Andrews cross - which is highly symbolic since it combines both the symbols of both Scotland and Ireland. I agree with your second point though that it's about Ulster's independence.
@rhfyr91 lol that flag is the flag of the nation of ulster quite a different band of people than the uvf, the uvf are loyalists, the south were against the union because thats the approach england took, hence his explanation.

thats not an ulster flag...thats the ulster independence flag formed by people who wanted ulster to be independent from both ireland and the uk..thats not an ulster flag
@thebigchiefbajasus, It is an Ulster flag though it's the independence flag as you point out. But it's a flag of Ulster. I realise it's not the official flag of Northern Ireland, but it certainly represents Ulster, not another country.
@superevilposm, I was given the Spanish flag while I lived in Spain by a friend of mine and I was given the Ulster flag by a person I met while visiting Belfast.
@51wins Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm Scots-Irish born in Dixie and proud to be both. I'm going to Ireland and Scotland next summer and really looking forward to having a pint where my ancestors did.
@greenmagoos, Yes the first is La Cruz de San Andres - the Cross of St Andrew - which was used throughout Spain but was popular in the northern region during the Carlista movements. The Red Hand is the traditional symbol of Ulster, though the Orangemen are not Saxons - they are descendants from Scots primarily.
@greenmagoos, Aw! lol Ok then. Didn't realise you were Scottish. About half or so of my own family are Ulster-Scots. It was a real treat to get to go to Ulster. I was amazed by all the Scottish flags and Scottish pride there. I went to the parade at Londonderry and there were tons of Scottish flags and symbols. It was really impressive. Seems like Scotland and Ulster are very close indeed.
I love how you discuss Spain first, then Ulster, and then the South. It really helps to put our flag, which is so demonized, into context. Also, the importance of St. Andrew: it's great that this is what unites all three flag designs. I've been studying Italian Renaissance art, and one of the important features of Italian societies (not one country there in Italy, as in Spain and the US), was the importance of patron saints for their peoples, e.g. the Virgin Mary and the people of Siena.
cool video, im proud to say the cross of burgundy flew in my homeland for many years, during the american civil war the people of new mexico flew the confederate flag in taos plaza, kit carson would have to remove it everyday, but in th emorning he would find the confederate flag flyng again, he got so angry he finally had to post guards at the plaza to keep us from flying the confederate flag
Excellent vid I enjoyed it very much . You certainly put to bed the old stereotype of the dumb back woods hill billy great to see . I worked with some southern folk a while ago and they were also intelligent interesting people . The media has EVERYTHING to do with stereo typing people . Ulster does have 9 counties 6 in Northern Ireland and 3 in the republic . This was done during the 1st world war . Formally of Ulster now of Canada !
Hey, bubba, it's your old friend from Mississippi. How's it going? Just got back online after many, many months. Some folks stole my e-mail accounts and tried to destroy my reputation, just a mess. I'm glad I was able to save my Youtube, just got my password fixed. Been watching your videos before that, just couldn't comment. As soon as I get new strings, I will record that song, which by now I have dominated quite well. I'm deeply involved with Ulster Independence as well, loved your video!
Hey good to hear from you again. Sorry to hear about the trouble but glad you about got it sorted out. Thanks for the kind words on the video. Take it easy.
You're more than welcome, hoss! Let me bug you here one last time... say, do you know where can I find that there Ulster Nation flag online? I only found on eBay the Ulster Flag (the yellow and red), which is okay, and the Ulster Banner, which I don't care much for it. That flag there represents Ulster complete independence and it would be nice to have one too. Thanks in advance, man.
Can't figure out how the UK promised Ulster to Eire, but then kept it. Then the UK won't help Ulster. All a bit confusing. What did thy want to keep it for then.
Nice! I know all about the Confederate flag but none of the others. I have seen photos of the Army of the Tennessee with rectangular Confederate battle flags. I have seen Army of Northern Virgina battle flags that are square with a white border.
interesting video ,one of my ancestors came from n Ireland,William ray ,running from the British he hid out in a barrel aboard a ship, sail to America an fought with gen.mad Anthony Wayne,to become an officer ,his grandson became4th gov. of Indiana,on moms side 2 of my grandfathers fought at cowpens
That Ulster Flag is a reminder to the people of Northern Ireland where they came from, the star of david is not the amount of counties, the people put that title on it to hide their roots, Israelites.
Queen of Israel & Gibraltar landed at Howth on 18/6/583 B.C. travelled to Tara, married Eochaidh the High king of Ireland on 21/6/583 B.C. Eochaidh was from Judah/Zarah of the 'Red-Hand',Teia Tephi of line of David. they married they sealed the breach caused hundreds of years previously, when Judah's twin sons were born. The marriage-union comes the "Red-Hand" mounted on the "Star of David" under the single Royal Crown, symbolizing the union of the two royal lines, which sprang from Judah.
1921 UK only gave back 26 of the 32 counties that make up the country, keeping 6 under UK rule, which was the Province of Ulster,
They got fed up of been fought over, so wanted independance from UK and the Now Republic (southern) Ireland. they got the good friday agreement, but its looking shakey, and bombings will start again. this time it's over money, govt, & depression. vid go maith ma Cara ;)
Ulster is on the island of Ireland. However, I've been there and seen the different cultures up close. What the British did back in the day was terrible. However, what the IRA does is terrible as well. A free Rep of Ireland exists today. However the Ulsterfolk don't even have homerule in their area. I think the best solution would be for London to leave NI alone & let the people there be independent - of both Dublin & London. Take what I say w/ a grain of salt though - I'm a foreigner.
A free Republic is an insult to us, its what the UK gave us back after taking our country, they laughed at us promising us all of it, then kept ulster and watched families kill each other, we the 'free republic', should be a country, Ireland. All 32 Counties. 4 Provinces 1 country. instead we are a state sold out to europe, Ulster is on brink of another bombing spree,UK wont help them, Ireland cant, & the Federal State of the European Union have left it to the UK, who dont want it. sad days:(
Too big a story man to upset me lol, but i lived near the border, Bandits County.. london & Dublinm, & I have family that were active. Thanks for the proud remiders ma cara (jma cara is irish for 'my friend') but its EU time now, they own us since begining of month, unless the Czech republic tell them go fuck themselves, which I doubt :(
Sorry I didn't notice that. Actually I've seen it mostly in pictures from back in the day that way. Today you see it both way. I'm not sure which is historically correct.

The Ulster ppl you speak of, are not Ulster ppl, they are descendants of angles, saxons and vikings from northern england and lowland scotland. The Irish were kicked off their land and it was planted with these ppl who then called themselves scots and Irish.

Good video mate. The Scottish flag surely is the best saltire in the world though!

I really liked your video. Im from Northern Ireland and hopefully will visit Dixi some day to see our fellow Ulster-Scots or Scots-Irish as you call them in the states.
Keep up the good work mate!

You realize that flag was used by the UVF right? A terrorist group?
rhfyr91 1 year ago
@rhfyr91 I realise that some folks in that group used the flag. Some folks who committ violence or terrorism use the Irish flag or the UK flag or the US flag. It can't be helped. However, the group I talked with in Belfast was non-violent and very friendly. And the flag itself is beauitful and highly symbolic. If we were to get rid of every flag just because of the way some group used it, we'd be left with none in the end.
RedShirtArmy 1 year ago
@rhfyr91
did they use the flag?
when and where?
The UVF has always been pro-Union they have never used that flag.
51wins 1 year ago
@rhfyr91
actually it's a saint patricks cross, also the flag was never used by the UVF as it's a flag that was produced as an independent Ulster Flag, Free from Ireland and the United Kingdom.
cyberprod1690 1 year ago
@cyberprod1690 Well really it's both the St Patricks and the St Andrews cross - which is highly symbolic since it combines both the symbols of both Scotland and Ireland. I agree with your second point though that it's about Ulster's independence.
RedShirtArmy 1 year ago
@rhfyr91 lol that flag is the flag of the nation of ulster quite a different band of people than the uvf, the uvf are loyalists, the south were against the union because thats the approach england took, hence his explanation.

thats not an ulster flag...thats the ulster independence flag formed by people who wanted ulster to be independent from both ireland and the uk..thats not an ulster flag
thebigchiefbajasus 1 year ago
@thebigchiefbajasus, It is an Ulster flag though it's the independence flag as you point out. But it's a flag of Ulster. I realise it's not the official flag of Northern Ireland, but it certainly represents Ulster, not another country.

Im a big history buff...where did you find the Spanish and Ulster flag?
superevilposm 1 year ago
@superevilposm, I was given the Spanish flag while I lived in Spain by a friend of mine and I was given the Ulster flag by a person I met while visiting Belfast.

@superevilposm
if your looking for an Ulster flag there is loads of them on ebay, just look up Ulster flags.

@51wins Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm Scots-Irish born in Dixie and proud to be both. I'm going to Ireland and Scotland next summer and really looking forward to having a pint where my ancestors did.

Interesting video.
Is the first flag with the barbs from the basque region of spain?
The red hand is the symbol for the o'neill clan I believe and the ulster flag probably came from saxon orangemen.

RedShirtArmy 1 year ago
@RedShirtArmy cheers for the info about the Carlistas. I'll see what I can find out about them and the flag on line.
Its ok I know all about orangeman and who's a celt and who's a saxon. I was brought up in Glasgow- lol.

@RedShirtArmy I have seen many a 'walk' in Glasgow- mostly orange ones because I was brought up in the east end which is a bit mental.

Thanks in advance, man.

around 4000-7000 spanish carlistas fought with the south ppl, winning in combat, caused of their success, their own leader and he was echegaray.
The bones of our ppl are literally all around the world, in all continents in all seas there are spanish bones and ships.

Thanks for the comment. I met with a good many Carlistas when I was in Spain and found them to be good folks who share many of our values.

Nice! I know all about the Confederate flag but none of the others. I have seen photos of the Army of the Tennessee with rectangular Confederate battle flags. I have seen Army of Northern Virgina battle flags that are square with a white border.

Ulster was/is part of Ireland.
UK took over Ireland
Ireland fought for 800yrs to get it back -
1921 UK only gave back 26 of the 32 counties that make up the country, keeping 6 under UK rule, which was the Province of Ulster,
They got fed up of been fought over, so wanted independance from UK and the Now Republic (southern) Ireland. they got the good friday agreement, but its looking shakey, and bombings will start again. this time it's over money, govt, & depression. vid go maith ma Cara ;)

RedShirtArmy 2 years ago
A free Republic is an insult to us, its what the UK gave us back after taking our country, they laughed at us promising us all of it, then kept ulster and watched families kill each other, we the 'free republic', should be a country, Ireland. All 32 Counties. 4 Provinces 1 country. instead we are a state sold out to europe, Ulster is on brink of another bombing spree,UK wont help them, Ireland cant, & the Federal State of the European Union have left it to the UK, who dont want it. sad days:(
