Back when I was a full-time Habitat volunteer, I rejoiced in the company of all the retirees, young people, church groups, missionary families, and questing singletons like me. I personally don't see why HFH's vision needed to be turned into a feminist statement. But, in such a good cause, the more the merrier.
You describe yourself as a questing singleton, but I think "simpleton" would be a better description. A feminist statement? Gimme a break! Feminism has been turned into a bad word by idiots like you. I think it's great to see empowered women, or any other empowered group who has been oppressed for so long, get involved in such a great cause. Shame on you!!! Go back to the dark ages!

I might add that I'm quite happily & blessedly married now; in no small part to the time I spent with HFH, long ago.
