  • America sure is the home of all that was good in the music of the fifties. Just a succession of great groups now gone but won't be forgotten thanks to you Chrysler.

  • @antongardner2 Your'e so welcome and thanks for listning.

  • @antongardner2 yeah, maybe its because the rest of the world was in pain and in ruins after the world war 2?

  • Great vocal group harmony, long before it was called doo wop. This song hit #20 in 1960. J.T. Carter is the only member of The Crests left now.

    R.I.P. Johnny Maestro (May 7, 1939-March 24, 2010) ♫♥♫♥♫

  • @TopazDupreeMany thanks for the info

  • calling all angels, calling all angels, calling all angels, wooh ooh ooh. Can't beat it. And talk about making history with guys from different races singing together for public audiences. It's one of the things I love about music. It can definitely bring people together.

  • RIP

  • BEAUTIFULLL

  • @bitchboysi Thanks

  • Gee, this is really a nice clip. These fellows sure we're cool. What a great time to have been alive! The very excellent Crests!

  • Youre welcome and thanks for stoping by

  • Wow...looks like they are tweeking with the quality of this footage...LOL! Too bad Dick Clark sits on the good footage. Ah, to be rich and rock n' roll miser

  • @ElCriticon82 I love dick clark, but he is a well known cheapskate. the reason why he filled his shows with has beens or yet unknowns was cause he could get them cheap and maximize profits. or just send them outdoor at the side of the studio and film them lipsinking like hear. yes sir....dick would make any republican proud.

  • Great Blast From The Past !!!!! Great Rock And Roll Will Never Die !!!!! Very Nice Video Thank You For The Upload !!!!

  • Youre welcome

  • Their group diversity was a very courageous step at that time but proved to be very successful for them. They also had a black female, Pat Vandross, (related to Luther) in their group for a short time. None of this mattered to anyone of my large group of school chums. None of us ever criticized this mixed race group. We were more focused on the great harmony between these four (five) young singers. Wish we still had The Crests, but we still have Maestro, and how very fortunate we are for that!

  • wow! I've been a fan of Johnny for many years. It is a real thrill to view this film of his group. Most people don't realize that the Crests were indeed the first rock and roll mix-race group. Thanks for showing us some real history with this very rare clip.

  • Thanks for posting, great song and singer

  • Funny thing, and I was actually born

the year this was recorded, in those days,

to be the lead singer of a group, you had

to be an excellent singer with a great voice.

    Johnny Maestro certainly was that.

  • The very best!!! Johnny still sounds perfect. THANKS FOR POSTING!!!
