What is the funding for this reserve?????? $34 million.??....Ask the aboriginal administration how they spend the cash...ask how they ferry their "traditional" hunters with helicopters...Shame on the natives who can't manage an exorbitant fund of tax dollars. Every native on that reserve is funded to the tune of $54000 each. Wow. Do you think providing more money will make the difference? Ha Ha
@sciencehead1 Per capita INAC funding for Attawapiskat First Nation for 2010-2011 was $ 9,077. Attawapiskat's financial statements going back to 2005 are fully public, and if you want to know where the money went, you can look in the audited financial reports. The story about impoverished Attawapiskat hunters using helicopters to go hunting is ludicrous. On the other hand, our defense minister's unnecessary use of a $32,000/hr search and rescue copter to avoid a boat ride is well documented.
