Maybe because it is an Strasburg locomotive, the same reason why No.40 at new hope has New Hope and Ivyland on it's tender. Strasburg owns the locomotives they can put what name they want on their tenders. I think it looks good my self. As long as the locomotives are Steaming and not sitting arcoss the steet dead to the world like the Musumes pices are. Thats what you should worrie about.and not whats on the tenders.

well I get what your saying but I was enjoying seeing everything in their original road names
KZ1993 3 years ago
Strasburg is putting THEIR roadname back on the engines, but in the orginal owner's font...
Example: 475's tender says "Strasburg" in N&W style font...

Are they going to do that to all of the engines?
I liked seeing all the original paint schemes on the engines.
KZ1993 3 years ago
Yes, but for the CN engines (7312 and 89), they're keeping the slanted CN logo, but putting "Strasburg Railroad" in CN-style font inside it.
That way, it'll be easier to repaint the engines should another photo special arise...

Sounds good but doesn't 90 still carry Great Western on her tender and under the cab window?
