I read Dr Fife's books years ago since my quad son & I read abtt the healing props of co. We have not had cold or flu in 3 years, even though his caretakers come to work with colds. I just rub it all over my body every morning after my shower, then put my reg cream on over it, except for my face, neck, and chest. Those who listen and take the co, don't have colds either. Also, had basal cell carcinoma, small spot, used co on it every couple hrs, after 2wks started to go away. Gone now - 2 mos.

How about we stop testing animals to come up with conclusions for humans? In one study, rats were given only fruit for a couple of days and then they went crazy and ate each other. Does this mean humans can't eat fruit? NO. I'm sure coconut oil is good, but to make these kind of outragenous claims is ridiculous.

Wonderful book... read it years ago and get many people on it. The best sun lotion ever.... in winter cold though we add 10% coconut, 5%ghee to mustart oil and a couple drops of essential oil for good smell.

I have been taking coconut oil for one month. Main effect is that rooms now feel too warm. Needed to reset home thermostat from 70 down to 66 F...also don't need jacket when I ride my bike. Ergo main effects experienced thus far is 1. a large increase in my BMR (basal metabolic rate), 2. Increased energy level and 3. reduced appetite.

I hate the company but they make some great medical products but they have a shady past.
