  • May I please ask for the names of the tracks you used in this video?

  • They could be North Korean tracks. In which case, you're unlikely to see them in a store :)

  • Well, I don't plan to buy them. I'd just like to know the names of the songs if anyone knows. Thanks.

  • North Korea don't stand a chance in war now they are way back in time and they nuclear power is old school.

  • do you have an english translation for this song???

  • well, in north korea, your are only allowed to film/ take a picture of the things that glorify it. the military/escorters make sure of that.and at 5:14 to 6:03 is a celebration type thing that is like a giant half time show thats held every few months i beleive. and they are in the honor of Kim il Sung/Kim Jong Il. they basically throw giant celebrations for their leader.

  • they are tearing up with that beat!!!

  • We can't feed and clothe our starving people...but we sure can produce some fancy statues and shrines to our beloved leader...blahaha

  • at least the blacks havent graffitti-ized their entire city like they do here.

  • Yeah, fair trade :P

  • In response to z777z

You are bloody fn insane you dolt! There are not concentration camps in the US retard. I know that and I havn't even been there. The illuminati is made up to sell books dumb ass. G. Bush is not an alien fool, get a clue!

P.S. North Korea is pretty cool.

  • if only they'd built those monuments out of chocolate - at least people wouldn't be starving

  • If only the UN/US wouldn't impose sanctions on imports including almost everything. Perhaps even chocolate.

  • 왜 北韓에서 金正日만 뚱뚱하지?

  • English?

  • Sure...

  • this songs kicks butt.

  • It looks really good, but in fact it is a mask, hiding the real life in NK. That is, if you can talk about 'live' in NK. This is propaganda. Be a great leader, Kim Jong Il, and show what is really goin on in your country. Show teh world that your system is not working, show how many people are put in prisoncamps as the oppose you..

  • Who the hell puts this propoganda on this american website? Agents for NK I'm sure. Its the same 20 pics NK lets out of their poor country. How sad. Unless you come across one of the vids smuggled out of the country showing the MANY attrocities against thier own people, just nuke the friggin home of Kim Jung Il. THIS IS PROPOGANDA PUT ON HERE BY NK, WAKE UP PEOPLE. Nuke the home of Kim Jung Hitler Il

  • I agree 100%!!!

I was stationed in Korea 86-87 on the DMZ and I know exactly the bullshit propaganda the North pulls over the eyes of the world.

  • We should put a $100M ransom on Lil' Kim and his sons. $50M for key party officials. $100M would be like the GDP of North Korea for a year. See if this would make some NK people treat him like less of a god-like figure.

Death to Kim Jong Il and his corrupt government!!

  • Wouldn't make any difference

  • I want NATO to get in another war with North Korea so we can kick their asses and liberate the people there so they can reunite with South Korea.

  • An overnight re-unification with between the two Koreas would almost cause the South Korean economy to collapse and cause significant economic problems not just in Asia, but in the USA, ol' buddy, ol' pal

  • arigato gozaimassu for this video....

  • Overall I like this song's melody, it brings about a certain sincerity of emotion, regardless of the overought narrative in the beginning.

  • i shit on kim joing ils face viva la resistance US MOTHER FUCKING A for life

  • Helly Yeah

    VIVA LA LIBERTAD!!!!

  • kim' s hand raised up,,

    saddam' s hand raised up,,

    both are 2 hands brothers,,

  • HAHA what lame songs

  • This video is lame. Give your money to the starving people in N.Korea instead of wasting it on Kim and his comrades.

  • go north korea!

  • notice that there are no cars in any of the pictures of the roads. this is what defines communism.

  • It's not even communism, it's a pure dictatorship.

  • What, clothes and subways are U.S. inventions nowadays? :D

  • time has stood still. Theres that north korean U.N. ambassador , who being in new york a modern metropolis, and also living in pongyangy , i wonder if he still sees pongyangy as a workers paradise, the place looks so boring and grey lol!

  • Not too much soviet influence then. It's amazing how they truly belive some tubby insecure arsehole is heaven-sent on a mountain, and whose birth was fortold by a fucking bird and was marked by the appearance of a double-rainbow and a new star in the sky.

    They're all mad Russian-obbsessed peasants.

  • Sounds so much like Japanese mythology, on which they base their imperial jingoism. Only shows how nationalism is unrelated to political systems, comunism or otherwise, for I don's recall Japan being comunist, nor, for example the Soviet Union or Cuba holding such ridiculous ethnogenetic, national foundation myths.

  • true, but we also have scientology lol...

  • oh god yeah, how did i forget about that little gem?!

    HAIL XENU!

  • A worker's paradise, the typical facade of communism.

  • you abused korean hospitality

  • Bullshit. He took photos. That abuse is it?

  • you gotta love that tune dum deee dum dum dum, an those fancy-huge sculptures are awesome.I'll have to visit NK before there's a war.

  • Worthless! Use all that money and feed the starving!

  • W COMUNISM!!!Fuck capitalism! Next holydays: North Korea, if still it isn't in a war.

  • They hate Americans yet they dress like Americans use American inventions

  • But it must be one of the only countries in the world where you won't see a pair of jeans - only on the tourists!

  • Some of those buildings would make nice hotel/casinos. Pyongyang could be the next Las Vegas.

  • after this video i have a diferent view of this contry, its a modern contry and are by side with the modern tecnology, defenitly the people dont ahave free exprecion liberty and probably they dont no what is it,but there lider is realy asking a kick in the but,or 3 or 4...

  • KILL THEM ALL ALL ALL ALL!

  • very weird. His own people have to eat human flesh to stave off starvation, and not a bit of litter anywhere!Amazing. I would love to go there!

  • This must be the hand of a genius! Such fabulous beauty! So many happy feelings inside me sing for Korea! Love! Generosity! Wonderment! Paradise! All hail Korean skies!

  • North pronunciation is like fucking idiots hahaha

  • That's it. I'm going to North Korea. I need to lose some weight anyway and the North Korean diet is perfect for this. I just hope they let me leave...

  • I really hate North Korean's government by the fact they are bunch of lying SOB, terrorist, and have a big attitude. But I must admit this propaganda song is very catchy and powerful.

  • umm... North Korea operates much like a totalitarian dictatorship led by Kim Jong-II, you'll need more than an urge and a tour guide to survive there bud...

  • Actually I hear they're quite friendly with the tourists, any bad thing a tourist does and he or she must leave the nation immediately, that or the tour guide is in pretty big trouble.

  • ummm...North Korea operates much like a totalitarian dictorship led by Kim Jong-II, you'll need more than an urge and a tour guide to survive there bud...

  • Worths

  • that's what happens

when all asian countries try to copy japan

  • that is N. korea? no seas of fire? no rivers of blood? no puddings of shit?

    its a great country

  • THIS MUSIC IS AWSOME, IM GUNNA PUT IT IN MY CAR AND DRIVE DOWNTOWN PUMPING THIS SHIT

  • Stirring stuff isn't it. I listen to it every day. The Dear Leader is obviously missing a money spinner here, I'm sure MTV would snap it up and he could earn enough to pay for his toys....

  • hahahahahhaa

  • LOL

  • where can i buy a hanbok online???

  • omg...the music is so fucking retro...nice clip, did u enjoy ur stay?

  • Beautiful song in the last part.

  • was that a drumset i saw? damn. kim jong-il is slipping.

  • WOW AFTER SEEING THIS I WANT TO MOVE TO NORTH KOREA

  • full of propaganda..in the middle of the disneyland look thing there aims the missile...

  • Good Good GOOD

  • So North Korea is the paradise, isnt it? Ok, ok, your clip looks like a DisneyWorld view. But we all know reality is quiet diferent.Lol

  • after all the negative comments i made, this video shows they do have the bright and beuatiful side of North Korea, people looks smart and beuatiful but too bad they have an idiot in power.

  • "North Korea is one of the most sick and twisted societies ever created. Obsessed with propaganda and in presenting a false face to the world"

Sounds like Bush's America, too. Anyway, I don't think this forum is the place to complain about "propaganda". Boobootoo2 was kind enough to show us their pictures and the least we can do is say "thank you". Thanks Boobootoo2!

  • more propaganda?? i am sick of this

    view the real korea

    http://hotair.com/

  • Hopefully most people are intelligent enough to recognise this for what it is - a photographic record of what I was allowed to see as a tourist...

The face that they show to the world is just as interesting (and telling) as the one they hide...

  • pure n korean pussy propaganda

  • North Korea is one of the most sick and twisted societies ever created. Obsessed with propaganda and in presenting a false face to the world, they take enormous efforts to hide the reality of a nation full of horror, brutality, starvation and concentration camps which rival anything the Nazis ever came up with. The real truth is out there and no amount of 1950s era propagandizing will hide it.

  • what's with the funny looking army caps? they're fuckin rounded!

  • wat is the song about?

  • Don't mean to sound nosey or anything, but did you feel that the hotel rooms were bugged? How long exactly did you stay, a week or three/four days? And did you go to the Arirang Mass Games?

  • I was there for 10 days and we in the tour were accompanied anywhere outside the hotel and not free to go anywhere or talk to anyone we liked. No doubt phones and mail were not free of un-invited ears and eyes, but the room, I honestly can't say. Unfortunately no Mass Games while I was there...

  • Wow, i thought they banned filming because of repeated "violations" lucky you!

  • i hate communism and kim jong il

  • 1984 is alive in NK

  • Notinig like that. In today's Ukraine on 100%.

  • This is NOTHING like the real norht Korea, the selfish ass government is destroying the whole country to feed it's machine of propoganda and self-luxury, my family's from North Korea I know

  • I think (hope) that anyone watching this video realises that this is only what they allow us to see and that the truth is controlled and hidden from visitors.

  • Stick to Pyongyang... The country side is a horrible wasteland of starvation and missery.

  • But you CAN NOT get the information in your text book and mess media..

  • I guess most of non Korean people dont know which countries have made North Korea weird.. Two Koreas and Vietman are victim countries of the Cold War. Fuc*ing U.S.*. You should know something true!! But you can get the information in your text book and mess media..

  • I'd like to ask. What were the soldiers like at the DMZ? And was it difficult taking photos there? I hear you're not supposed to take photos of soldiers or any military facilities.

  • Of course they were well trained in giving "the message". The Great/Dear Leaders were near to God status and the Americans are worse than dirt. Indoctrinated is the appropriate word.

The policy was not to take photos of individual soldiers (as you can see, I didn't manage to keep to this rule). Apart from that we were fairly free to snap anything we could.

  • wow that really opened my eyes to north korea. i thought the country was full of beggars and buildings that are destroyed and.. i don't know what i was thinking >_> i'd like to visit there one day and see for myself how it really is.

but seriously, is all they wear hangboks, suits, dresses, and uniforms? that's kinda weird... :(

  • Basically yes. Jeans are not allowed. Those priveleged enough to be in the sort of places we were allowed to go, obviously have to be "well dressed"...

  • Yeah, of course they'll show the tourists "how it really is". You are aware they won't let you leave the hotel without a "guide"? They'll take you on a grand tour to see all grand communist statues and buildings. You won't be going near the concentration camps, that's for sure.

  • Unfortunately for you, you will never have the chance to go unless North Korea is liberated. US citizens are, from what i have heard, almost entirely banned from setting foot in the country.

  • it's like they live in this warped Orwellian nightmare.

  • I pray that one day North Korea is liberated and the selfish bastard Kim Jong Il and his successors fall so that one day I may find out if my mom has a father again, and I might gain a grandfather that we've never seen or known.

  • Kill the fucking Kim bastards!

  • I gotta say. North Korea is not a evil country, the government are not devils, and NK is not a terrorist country like said on TV and US propagandas.

  • yeah, i wanna go there to do some graphic design project like i did for a trip to tokyo on my site

    http://www.plumrepublic.org/ch inese/fotograph_ct/foto_menu_c t.htm

page 2 and 3 are the newest; i've not got english version up~@@~

some places i ought to see myself for the medias are biased (like pg2xatl said) due to their respective political environment.

  • I agree. Although our contact with Korean people was very limited, we came back with a good feeling from the "personal experience" point of view. A far of country that most people have not experienced is judged by its political and economic affect on the outside world - there is no need to comment on that regarding N. Korea. When you actually visit a country, it is the people you meet that make the difference... individuals.

  • I think if North Koreans were exposed to foreigners and information their whole foundation would break down. Then a cultural revolution perhaps? The fall of Kim Jong Il? And no more ignorant fags to diss an entire nation because of their ideologies and leader.

  • That's a possibility.. But after more than 60 years of North Korea's version of the "iron curtain" (censoring what their people see, hear, and say), the way the common N. Korean--who finds contentedness under the government--thinks most likely complies to what the leader dictates to the nation. I've been reading a lot about the N. Korean society lately, and a lot of them are actually CRAZY about pleasing their leader, Kim Jong-il--even more for their deceased founding father, Kim Il-sung. (cont)

  • They praise all aspects of the gov, saying they're nothing without their leader. They literally view their leader as god. Basically, by now, they're "brainwashed," for lack of a better term, into remaining faithful to their gov's ideals. It'll be passed down for generations, strengthening the N. Korean ideologies that the government dictates to them. Honestly, I think that the chance of their gov being overthrown is diminishing with every minute that passes. Sad, really..

    I hate char limit lol

  • is kimjongil a buddhist?!

  • north korea = noob

  • so how much did they freak u out?

  • hi there, that was a good video documenting how north korea is for tourists.

Its a place i'd like to go to but i have a question, to what extent were you snooped on by state officials?

  • We (a group of a dozen or so) were accompanied by 2 guides wherever we went. Especially in the beginning when they were not sure of us they were very strict - one would be the guide, the other would watch to see what we were up to. Of course we could not leave the hotel by unaccompanied.

We were basically free to take photos wherever and whenever we liked. We were not allowed to take individuals or from bus/train windows - but they turned a blind eye once they trusted our group.

  • Way they speak, way they act, way they thinks, are FUCKING artificial and strange

  • great propoganda huh? everyone does it.

  • Ahhhh your lucky. I wouldn't mind visiting North Korea but I'm American and they don't let us in unless we have a REAL good reason. Interesting video.

  • AFAIK its actally OK to go to North Korea. It takes a long time to process the papers, but as long as you're not American you can go in. I'd think having a Chinese passport would help, especially Beijing--Pyongyang is the only air route. Having that said, you're supposed to have a umm.. "tourist guide" with you, and they'll treat you like god and show how good NK is (obviously lots of things are staged). But its not that dangerous to go in AFAIK...

  • ARE U FUCKING NUTS DUDE!?!?

  • ....eerie.....but just a few questions...

    1) why on earth did you go?

    2) HOW on earth were you allowed to take pictures?

    3) $20 says you were trailed by some spy....heh...
