@HoosierMF. That's not why Jade doesn't sound as good live. In the studio, you play the same parts over and over again sitting in a chair with a perfectly tuned guitar until it is perfect. Live, you play through the entire song once while jumping and spinning all over the stage as well as singing backup vocals with a guitar that gradually detunes because of all of this and you do that for an hour or more without a break. No wonder he doesn't sound as good live. duh.

the scream should've been kept in all the official songs on the album. all the demos i've heard so far are waaaay better than the cd version. not taking anything away from sts, it's great, but hearing this, it could've been better.

@HoosierMF you obviously prefer a more raw, live sound. some people really admire and enjoy high the influence of a great studio technician/sound engineer on their favorite bands music, as well as the band performing their parts as well as they possibly can. it's just personal preference.
