@cakebiatch Yes, I have at least 2 different single versions (one on Rainforest records and another - I think - a UK release). Possibly even a third version somewhere. It's a long time ago, though, so I may be confused.
Mattie Hattie Hein and Luke Hollywood, if you happen to read this, you are wonderful and beautiful human beings! I wish I wasn't such a loser back then and could have been cool enough, or realized I was cool enough, to hang out with you guys.
@blank - Another ∅PB admirer, always nice to see! I heard their unbeatable single of '96 (Control Freak/Niacin) back when Max Hechter couched it between the volatile girl band Crotchet and the lovley 'Done' lp by 18th Dye. I miss radio.
Wish I had a clue where to find the Francois Mitterand song. i take it you're not the one who wrote the Wiki page that doesn't list it!
This was my favorite song for a couple years. Only had a cassette recording from Andrea 'Enthal's magnificent '12 O'Clock Rock' show (lamented since 1998). Could never find the record for a while, then discovered their first and Ennui Go. Now they're on Myspace and iTunes, for crying out loud. I guess if we wait long enough, all will surface on these interwebs? Can dream.
@FungusMossGnosis i used to record tapes of 12 oclock rock too! theyre somewhere in my moms garage =( i still listen to them , but since i moved out of state had to leave them behind.
It was indeed. And one of the verses was something about him speaking French (!) and having sex 'every hour of the day'. It IS sad that you can't upload those two, but I've waited more than fifteen years for 'I Suck', so . . . There are a few versions of 'More Bad Things' on here, but they range from awful (the band that did 'Lump' and 'Peaches') to 'okay - but . . .' (the girl with the mandolin). I'll keep checking out your stuff, though.
You're welcome! I loved the first of those, and was the chorus to the 2nd "Francis Mitterand do you have your heater on?"
I may have those on tape somewhere, but sadly there's no way I can get em off at the moment... on the plus side, I do have all the Festive 50s so will definitely keep putting up stuff that's not here already.
Thank you! I've been searching for this for a long time. I have it on cassette (from the John Peel show, funnily enough) but . . . I don't suppose you have 'More Bad Things' by Ed's Redeeming Qualities? Or the song by Nothing Painted Blue (?) about - 'about' - Francois Mitterand?
Chuck D of Public Enemy called and said you suck for not giving him writer's credit.

Thank you so much, but wtf is the photo of the dandy warhols doing in there? I notice it shows up when "everybody sucks" comes in. Connection?
