@steviepc7 The J-20 is a direct copy of the F-22? Have you even seen the J-20? Everybody does ground tests before a first flight, that doesn't mean it can't fly. The American's F-35 is hardly worth the extremely high program cost, only the B variant is STOVL, which means only the B variant can take off vertically if the weight is low enough at the time, and has 2/3 the fuel than the A/C variants. The F-35 are also much easier to spot than originally planned.

Meanwhile, of the supposed B level aircraft, the J-17 is easily comparable to the F/A-18 C/D, the J-10 is comparable to a F-16C Block 30, and they have several of the newer Russian aircraft.

This video leaves a lot of info out, the Mig-21 was terribly outdated by this point and no match for the new US jets. The Mig 25 was used in the war by Syria mainly for reconnaissance and never fought the F15/16's. The Mig 23 actually had quite a good combat record against the F16s in that war (they also shot down a few F15's). Finally the Mig 27 was a ground attack variant of the 23, not a fighter.

It should be noted however that this was the only time the MiG's got the better of the F15's (presumably due to larger numbers and ineffective tactics of the Israeli air force) and in later encounters they were defeated.

If given the option of a P51 or a mig 15 only a fool would choose the mustang and yet p 51's shot down migs 15's. a choice between a mig 21 and a F15? hands down a F15. however, say a heat seaking missile once its locked on it could have been launched from a fokker tri plane its still locked on to you.

O.o

It is mainly because of the training of the pilot for the 56:0 ratio. the point of the comparison to the SU-35BM is excluding the pilots training, so that makes the reason for the confusion, but the fact still remains that no F-15 has been ever shot down due to A-A combat. I hope this helps anyway's though.
