But if everything cost a third more, even if tax was practically nothing, I couldn't survive. Its too unfair to those of us who live paycheck to paycheck. So someone that spends what I do, but makes twice as much would still pay the same in taxes as me. Im not with that.

The apostle Paul didn't want to be killed by capital punishment, but he didn't argue against the implementation, just his worthiness of death. (Acts 25) Why do you act as if you are an authority. If Jesus had something bad to say about capital punishment and his desire to have it changed, then he would've said something when he was being unfairly trialed.
