whats the point of the candles?

@janeesymone the main purpose of candles is to put out the flame with a single punch. it looks damn easy, but trust me, it is one of the hardest things to do. it takes a lot of focus and concentration to put it out in one punch. and while putting it out, the practitioner should not blow, make noises or touch the flame.

man this is way cool. i have started taekwondo in a litle town in new zealand. I havnt graded yet because i feel i am not ready i havnt even been to a tenth session yet, and no way do we go as hard as those kids they are really good! I am 18 and have wanted to do martial arts for some time, partly because of my Japanese descent, but if I could ever get that kind of training that would be so awesome.

Awesome Taekwando but really, it's stupidity to kick above the belt during a real fight, as I'm sure you know :) I love Taekwando and i've been doing it since I was ten but for me, a lot of it is acrobatics I wouldn't even bother to use in real life in a real situation.

Team-M Taekwondo is not a school or studio. We're an elite Taekwondo demoteam....but we do train in a garage.

@MteamTKD not to discount what you guys are doing because you all are awesome but because of the belt testing , are you affiliated with a bigger school? these kids are awesome i need to do some stuff on my own and not wait until class, so i can get as good as these kids, please keep the videos coming

haha...no worries. I'll answer all the questions I can. No, we're not affiliated with a bigger school. Our head coach is a 4th Dan black belt Kukkiwon certified.

Our team does consist of TKD athletes who came from different studios. We recruit the top athletes from the bay area and some of our members are still currently training with their current studio. Hope that helps!
